Italian Leather Laptop Briefcase Bag in Brown Calfskin

It is pricey but a quality leather briefcase. I bought it for my dad for Father's Day. It lightweight yet durable. The tanned leather is fresh and a beautiful color. It does smell like freshly tanned leather, so it needed a few days to air out.

Thick full grain italian leather. A bit heavy though because of the thick leather. Smells of strong tanning at first but goes away after a few days of airing. The smell isnt like the chemical stench of china made bags though. Hardware looks sturdy enough, although im not planning to stuff it, just my laptop and office gear. Stitching looks even and sturdy too. Great bag for the price.

Received bag on time. Arrived intact. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE smell out of the box. Very similar to a very intense roach spray. I let the bag air out over 1 week. Smell was so intense I had to place in the garage. People kept commenting on the smell when they stepped into the house. I moved the bag to the garage. Still 7 days later HORRIBLE intense smell. Whatever they sealed the bag with cannot be good for you. I still tried to use it hoping the smell would dissipate (also the bag does look good for the price) and the clasp mechanism started to fail and get stuck. Had to return and I HAD TO PAY THE RETURN even for a DEFECTIVE CLASP. RIPOFF

I love this bag. Very elegant looking, brass metal/rivets, tight stitching, very well made. It's big enough to fit my MacBook Pro in one compartment and a bunch of folders, documents, pens and supplies in the other, but not overwhelming huge. I wanted something I could carry around everyday and not feel like I was lugging around an overnight bag.However, the only issue I have is with the accompanying Shoulder Strap (minus 1 star). The Strap is WAY too thin. After inserting my laptop and such, the bag can get heavy. When the bag gets heavy, I wear it across my body, the strap digs into my shoulder (not to mention it looks kind of odd). The Strap and Shoulder Pad should be at least a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch wider. The Strap seems more intended for a purse than a man-bag.All things being said, you can't beat the overall quality of this bag for the price.

This bag is absolutely beautiful! Be warned - it has a very strong scent that hopefully will wear off. It isn't an annoying or bad smell but it is noticible. Size wise, it fits my 15" laptop, a folder, a notebook, and some pens. It could hold more too! Has 3 pen holders and two large outside pockets. Great bag.

Very poor product, that sums up my review of this product. I thought one of the reviews I read was biased but seeing this product came ripped at the side is an eyesore and rip-off for a so-called $199 Italian leather briefcase meant to have been a Xmas gift for my brother in Nigeria. I wanted to give a zero rating but the option is not available. Awful! How do I get another gift to Nigeria before Xmas ?
