Helps calm them and reduce stress. In addition we make sure we have plenty of stock. While some cats may not play with them, our crew loves them and this brand! You may not see them playing with them at first but if you just leave them pretty certain kitty will enjoy during the wee hours. We have many special needs pets so even the ones with disabilities can enjoy too. They love them, a great toy to play with and nibble. Mostly they scoot them around the house. This brand is the BEST! Review: Our cat nearly choked to death on this. - Please, think hard and carefully whether your kitty really needs this. Our cat bit a chunk off while chewing it and it got stuck in her throat. We spent an agonizing hour watching her salivate, paw on her mouth, trying to get to her throat. We didn't know what was going on and were about to rush her to an emergency vet when she finally "threw" it up. She was immediately relieved but completely exhausted from the effort to get it out her throat. We're just glad that it ended like that and hope that the very hard stick did not damage her esophagus!

A must have for teething cats, and cats with chewing habits!
My cat loves to chew. His food, my phone chargers, and everything he can put his teeth on. My main reason for purchase was to steer him away from showing everything in his path which itโs working great so far. He goes absolutely psycho when I give him a these catnip sticks!!! I can definitely say that I have seen an improvement, or should I say less broken chargers. I usually give the buddy one new stick per week. When I do, I hide it to engage my catโs senses, and killer instincts. I recommend this product.

Good for cats who like to bite or chew things
My cats went nuts for these when I first put them out. I have a big Tom cat who bites paper into little bits and will bite chunks out of the toilet paper roll. He is really the only one who stayed interested, but once he chews the bark off that is it. The others sniffed at them and I still occasionally see that one of the cats (I have 6), probably the Tom, has moved them around. I guess I need to put some fresh ones out as perhaps they lose their drawing power after they have set out for awhile. However, they are good value for money but definitely do not have the staying power of catnip!

Took a minute for kitties to get the hang of it
They weren't sure at first sniff... but both of my cats ended up liking these sticks. I started to peel the bark off and the scent was stronger so I took off the loose bits before letting the cats have at it. At first I had to hold it and let them get a good chew going. One of my cats likes to fling them around while lying on his side, he gets all four paws in play. The other cat just likes to play when I hold it in front of her but she'll sneak up on it when its on the floor and bat it around until it gets lost under furniture.

too dry and tough
the cats all liked the smell and at first seemed to like them, but within a few minutes the toughness made them undesirable. Since the cats ignore them. They may work for teething kittens, but in my experience older cats would rather bite rope than mess with these. Our cats all like dried matatabi leaves, but not these.

Long lasting
They're good. Cats go nutty over them. When they stop being exciting you can carve the outer layer off and it's exciting to the cats again. It has helped my younger cat stop chewing on everything bc I can distract him with these
