Probably surface prep that matters, the paint is great
I replaced rotors and pads&clips on my 2013 volvo v60. The calipers were a bit rough looking too.I see another reviewer says the paint came off when he bled the brakes, a bit unfair since all dot 3, 4, 5.1 hydraulic fluids are glycol/ester based so can dissolve paint. Maybe he means it rubbed off. I think I'd have to take a wire brush to it to rub it off my calipers. The calipers look great with this K2 silver. I didn't get them sand blasted, didn't follow the full sanding instructions or remove the caliper from the car. I just gave everything a thorough pressure wash, wheels and rotors/pads off, direct to rust hammerite black paint on dust covers (wish I'd taken them off and rust converter, then sprayed or replaced but life's too short). I cleaned calipers with wire brush and degreaser, brake cleaner, isopropyl alcohol and cloth, masked off the seals/pistons and sprayed. A couple coats, 30 mins between them, goes on easy, could have maybe done with a 3rd and maybe a primer to smooth out the surface of a 9 year old caliper... but a month on the paint is holding up well. I've done two 300 mile trips, commuted daily, rain, ice, salt grit, minus temps overnight etc. I'd care more about surface irregularities, pitting and smoothness of the finish if my car were newer but for a car that's almost 10 years old now it has made a big difference. I suspect any tiny imperfections in the finish of the paint in the first photo are down to my surface prep (about a month after fitting and 1000 miles later). The paint is not flaking or bubbling, not wearing on the outer surface and went on evenly so I can't blame the product for any dodgy spots.

Rubbed off
Covered well, left Nice shine. Until it rubbed off when removing some brake fluid.

Excellent paint
Excellent paint. I thoroughly wire brushed and rubbed down my motorcycle calipers then applied this with no undercoat or primer. Picture is after 4 coats.
