Kala Namak Salt- Salt 6 Oz Jar

I've been vegan for a few years now & have seen recipes that call for Kala Namak salt. I do occasionally miss dishes such as omelets and French toast. I bought this because I'm looking for the "eggy" flavor/scent. I'm so happy with this salt. I made French toast and used this salt, just a pinch. It was Wonderful! An omelet or scramble is the next thing on my list! I also make a chickpea salad (sort of a "fake" tuna/egg salad thing) and thought this salt would be good in it.... It was! I know many Indian recipes call for this salt also. I'm happy with my purchase & can't wait to try it in other dishes. I don't think its too salty and you only need a very small amount. This jar is 6 oz., which doesn't seem like much, but I'm sure it'll last a very long time ~ as in a couple of years! Good purchase. Yes, I would recommend.

I normally bought this product at Whole Foods but they stopped carrying it. I would definitely recommend this product especially fellow vegans out there! It's a great addition to morning tofu resembling scrambled eggs. A little bit goes a long way, which makes it a little difficult when the product came to me when several clumps, when it's supposed to a fine powder.

I used this for the first time and made Vegan Egg Salad! Yum! is the only way to say how incredible the flavor is. Buy it and use it. For anything calling for egg you can use anywhere from a pinch to a teaspoon, depending on you quantities of produced foods and everyone will swear it has an egg or more in it. YOU WILL LOVE IT! Just remember it is a salt, and if you use it, don't use regular salt as you normally would. OK?

Delicious & very finely ground without any clumps. Tastes like salty egg & not horribly over pungent like some other brands. I got this to use in tofu "egg" dishes. This shipper's product arrived 4 days early with a sweet surprise!

Excellent salt. Would recommend highly. Good to use in a lot of special dishes instead of regular salt. I will buy more of this product in the future.

This salt is really terrible! A very weird texture, doesn't dissolve easily, and it's more of a powder than a salt.I use a lot of flavoredsalts in cooking, but this will not be one of them. No fault withthe supplier though,they shipped quickly.
