Hi, welcome to Star Singer Slides. I'm Dolfinn, the maker. A guitarist myself; inspired by my dad Rupert Andrews, an amazing potter. I use his unique sealed crackle glaze technique, which he has been developing over the last 30 years. It is a difficult and precise chemistry, but worth every minute for the stunning results. Every single slide will have its own pattern of lines, some with many, some with few, but all organically formed and beautiful. Sound The tone is great! They sound brighter than glass slides, and warmer than metal ones. Playability Lighter in weight than you might imagine. They make much less 'noise' on the strings than most other slides. Durability They have a similar finish to glass, but they are fired much higher, up to 1200°c; making them almost igneous rock. So it will be difficult to scratch them, and not easy to break. Size Guide You can play slide on any finger, but normally it is played on the ring finger or the little finger. If you are thinking of buying as a gift, the medium is a safe option as, if it is too small for the ring finger, then it should fit on the little finger.
