King Oyster Mushroom Growing Spawn Plugs 40 Count

This is not a complete review as I'm still waiting to see results. I'm a beginner mushroom grower and this is my first real attempt.Product arrived alright in a little cardboard box with an instruction paper and a plastic bag filled with the plugs. Didn’t count them but seemed to be the right amount.Unfortunately, I added them to containers that were too large for them to colonize, a milk jug and another bag both filled with coffee ground, and mold took over before they established themselves. Next time, I’ll work smaller and let them colonize a more safer material first, like cardboard.Good news is I expected failure so I kept an extra sample, the plastic bag itself, the same one the plugs came in! There were traces of white mycelium all over so I figured, why not? I had put coffee ground in the bag as well and let it sit, not expecting much. Some mold grew in it as well and I didn’t really have much hope, but I left it alone anyway. I’m glad I did, it’s been nearly two months later and there appears to be mycelium growing. I can’t tell for sure if it’s the oyster or just more mold, but I’m cautiously optimistic!

I didn't realize how small the package was, but it's worth the price.

I nailed the plugs into poplar logs as it stated in the directions and followed the directions very closely for growing these mushrooms but its been over a year now and I haven't seen one mushroom.

All my spores came in the intended package and time....theyre plugged in(hah)....and ready to go now only time will tell, be back as soon as something happens
