Wouldn’t be without this
My baby loves this. It allows him to sit up enough to not feel like he’s not missing out! The toys attached aren’t great but this isn’t an issue for us. Vibrate mode has helped settle my little one for naps.

No padding
Poor quality. No padding - wouldn’t recommend as uncomfortable for babies.

Baby bouncer with a very limited timespan
I have had the privilege of using a Bright Starts baby rocker ‘Playful Parade Baby to Big Kid Rocker’ that may have been more expensive (£34.99) than this Zig Zag Baby Bouncer (£25.99), but it is infinitely superior to this product in every way. This baby rocker is designed for babies, up to 9 kg or 20 lbs (roughly 0-12 months) and you are advised to stop using this rocker when the baby tries to sit up (could be as early as 4 months!). Whereas the Playful accommodates newborns to toddlers from 3-18 kg. Both are certainly colourful, attractive and unisex. Both are quite easy to assemble (with excellent diagrammatic instructions). However, both require batteries for automatic vibration which are not supplied and neither is a Philips screwdriver. This rocker requires a C/LR14 1.5 v battery. The automatic rocker function is a great soother for a disgruntled baby. However, you can always rock this seat with your foot. The seat is padded and comfortable and there is a 3 point harness to keep baby secure and in situ (the more expensive rocker boasts a 5-point harness). The suspended toys are cheap and very plastic to feel. Gone are the stimulating rattle and mirror found on the Playful. The toys are attached to a thin padded, removable bar. The chair cannot be lifted using the toy bar as it releases a little too quickly and you are advised against doing so in the list of ‘warnings’. However, the easy removal of this bar does mean that you can scoop up baby quickly. The fabric on the bar and seat can be sponged clean with a mild detergent. It should not be immersed and air drying is recommended. I do see the fabric getting grubby over time, especially the toy bar and Amazon’s marketing blurb does state the padded seat is machine washable with cold water. The chair itself is not as sturdy as the Playful but then again, this rocker should only be used for babies up to their first birthdays and will probably be used for half this time.As this is purpose designed for babies, I am rather surprised that there is no baby cushioned headrest supplied. This would help support a newborn’s head.

Good bouncer
Bright Starts, Zig Zag Zebra Vibrating BouncerThe baby bouncer arrived in a small box and was packaged well. It came with instructions on how to assembly. It was easy to assemble and took a little over five minutes to put together. The seat is padded and comfortable and there is a 3 point harness to keep baby secure. The fabric on the bar and seat can be sponged cleaned. It should not be submerged and air drying is what is advised. The baby bouncer is designed for use from birth up to walking/being mobile. The chair offers a safe place for the child to remain safe while you go about daily choirs like cooking or washing up, it’s bright and colourful and will suit either gender. It comes with a play bar in matching fabric to the seat which has two toys attached, a hollow plastic teether type toy and a firmer coloured one. The suspended toys are cheap and very plastic to feel. I am disappointed that this doesn’t have a mirror nor an additional head support for a new born baby especially as it has a limited time for use and its main purpose is for use in the first few months. The toys are attached to a thin padded, removable bar. You can add additional toys if you desire. The vibrating function is good, not too noisy and gives a gentle vibrate to soothe the baby. The rocker requires a C battery, this battery is not supplied, you will need a small Philips screwdriver to gain access to panel. This panel is hidden when rocker is assembled. The baby bouncer can be dismantled fairly easily and stored but as it doesn’t take up much space I doubt you would do this.Yes you can purchase move expensive bouncers but this will do what it needs to do.For £25 it’s not a bad buy. Wish it had a mirror on the bar as all babies like to look at themselves and a headrest insert.4 Stars
