Move Three Times the Air, Pretty Quietly
I purchased 4 of these 5-Volt fans and used two of them immediately: I replaced the two 60mm fans in my USB-powered laptop cooler. The cooler is a commercial unit which came with two 1500 RPM fans installed. One of those locked up after two years of nearly constant use, and I cleaned its bearings, but I thought it was time to replace both fans. I especially wanted a higher throughput fan, but still of the 60mm size, and 10mm thickness, to fit the laptop cooler. The exchange was not a pin-to-pin easy swap-out. But I used automotive type push connectors to connect the fans to the switch of the laptop cooler. The automotive connectors are crimp-type. I cut the supplied connectors off the switches, stripped and tinned the two power wires (Red and Black; I cut the Blue wire off entirely, flush with the case). I crimped the two Red wires into one connector, and the two Black wires into the other connector, and soldered them anyway afterwards, for the best connection. Then I installed the fans into the cooler enclosure with the same four original screws and nuts (note that NEW screws and nuts are supplied with EACH new fan, however, in a small plastic bag attached to each fan's wires with a twist-tie).I attached the automotive connectors to the switch terminals. The laptop cooler with the two new fans installed was now ready to test.I connected it to the laptop and threw the switch. The fans immediately came up to speed and I noticed a much stronger flow of air than the old 1500 RPM fans could ever supply. I am impressed! Granted, these Evercool fans run at 4000 RPM, not 1500 RPM, so it's "Apples and Oranges", really. But this is a fabulous upgrade. The fans have 11 blades, and the blades are shaped in such a way that they really trap and move a lot of air. I think these fans would levitate like helicopters if you don't have them tied down. The laptop runs at least 10 degrees F cooler to the touch. Before, the palm-rests just below the keyboard would get pretty hot in our desert Spring and Summer here in Arizona. The hard-drive is below the left-hand palm rest. It is very reassuring to me now that the entire laptop machine and disk drive will be running much cooler from now on. Wow!, what a difference. The sound- (noise-) level is about three times higher than the original 1500 RPM fans. But the slow fans were nearly silent, so this is still comfortable. I had already placed rubber strips beneath each original fan, on the aluminum body of the cooler, to quiet the original unit down. You might want to do that if you upgrade a similar USB laptop cooler with these great fans. Of course, your laptop is between YOU and the fans, so the sound is really quite muted. The Seller is letting these go at a bargain price, with shipping included. So many others change double this price, and they ask for shipping charges on top. This is why I bought four fans, and not just two! Get them while you can at this welcome sweetheart-deal price. I'll use the other two in other gear soon, and might just have to buy some more, now that I know how good they really are.Nope!, I have no stock in the company! ;-)

Good, but not perfect.
This fan blew quite a bit of air, but it only lasted me about a week since someone decided it would be funny to stick a finger in it (waiting to get my guard in the mail) and break off a blade. Very good fan for the price point.

Kind of iffy. Didn't last long enough.
I ordered this fan to replace a worn out fan on my NAS (Network Attached Storage) that was a few years old. The fan worked fine for the first 2 months but started to make rattling and squealing noises after a few months of use. I would like to say it was a great product but can't honestly say that unless I was just shipped a defective one. It happens with manufacturers. Not all manufactured products manage to live up to their full potential. Some are bound to fail out of a batch. Or maybe it is just the way the product is. Or possibly it was an issue with the power requirements of the NAS which I made sure to match up all power specifications to the "T".Either way I ended up needing a newer storage device and order a Synology NAS but I still have the one this fan was attached too but I just don't run it as often because the noise can be pretty irritating to the ears and I suffer from Tinnitus as it is.

works well
The company sent the wrong fan the first time 40x40x20mm. This fan would not fit the small space in my printer. They sent a shipper for me to return the wrong one and they sent the right fan 40x40x10mm the 2nd time. The fan works very well as designed. I would order from them again.

Bad Beraing
Went bad almost immediately. Noise from the fan, sounds like a bearing.

Works exactly as it should!
I got this to fit a Coleman refrigerated cooler. Works great, never had any problems and it was running nearly 24/7 for about 3 months straight. It worked so well it actually froze up the inside of the cooler on a couple of occasions.

Low Quality.
Medium to low air flow for this size & voltage,. day one, did its job as it should, day two it started making a ticking noise,. technically it didn't stop "working",. but put it in the trash can on day three. Priced way to high at 8$ for this low of quality. Evercool is usually ok-ish,. But I think this one is a surplus/dud,. This is delivered Surplus/OEM style,. no packaging,. ie no idea where it came from, or what it may have come out of (though it was clean and new looking), if its more than 2.99 don't risk it. Otherwise many better 40mm 5v options for 8$ out there if you look.
