Nice
Nice machine, works as advertised. I would have designed it with just a tad more power.

Not equipped with Ele Start
The ad states is equipped as “electric start” compatible, just “drill and bit sold separately”. This is not accurate. This model does not have the engine plate with the electric drill start capability. Luckily, I was replacing an exact but older model. I was able to remove the engine plate with the electric start option and add it. Otherwise I would have sent it back. Other than this, it’s a great little edger if don’t mind pull starting it.

It has a tiny 4 stroke engine! No mixed fuel/oil required. Lightweight.
The engine on this model is pretty impressive. It takes less than a half cup of engine oil to fill the crankcase, and straight gasoline in the fuel tank. It is surprisingly quiet for a gas engine. The best thing- it's easy to start! I use this to trim Blue Rug Juniper ground-cover, leaving a smooth, manicured look.Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Doesn't use much fuel, and doesn't stink. Recommended!

Under powered
I was pleased with how easy Craftsman E405 29cc edger assembled and was ready for use. I took heed to fill it with fresh gasoline and followed the rest of the directions with the hope to have this Edger for a good many years. The edger fired up after just a few pulls and I let it idle for a bit and then I turned it off and I was pleased with the experience to that point. The next day I used the edger, I do have to admit that the ground was a bit moist, but nothing my old edger couldn't handle. I found the Craftsman E405 29cc kept bogging down and I really had to baby it to edge my lawn. The edging process took me 2-3 longer than what my previous cheapo weed eater edger took and I was much less impressed with the edger after using it. It seems well built and as I mentioned it was quite easy to assemble, I would just recommend a more powerful engine if you intend to use it without needing to pick ideal edging conditions. I plan to use the edger again in the next day or so and I will update my review if I feel it is warranted.

Great edger.
I love this edger and it is so easy to use. (See before and after photos) I also like that it takes unleaded gas instead of the mixed fuel like my weed wacker. For some reason I had a hard time buying this item from Amazon and kept getting an error they could not ship to my address. After several phone calls to customer service they finally fixed it and I was able to purchase it. I did not have any of the issues that other reviewers had of it dying and not starting. There is a choke that needs to be set in the down position like in my photo and once you start the edger it needs to be moved up to continue running. I'm not sure if that was the issue other reviewers had. I was even able to use it on the curb without an issue you just have to go really slow as the wheels do not adjust for uneven edges. I would recommend this product.

Weed eater attached to wheels
Dramatically underpowered. For a few more bucks could have bought a Stihl or Echo combi setup that would put this to shame, plus give you options as a weed eater, hedger, etc. do not recommend.

Does not cut a clean edge on lawn
The “blade” is a rectangle-shaped piece of metal about 1/8” thick with blunt edges that actually dig out a slot/small trench in the dirt under the grass. The unit is quite light so it has a tendency to bounce around as the blade beats through the dirt, making it hard to create a clean, smooth line in the sod. Then one must use some kind of a cutting tool (trimmers, scissors, etc.) to cut the blades of grass for a sharp, crisp, good-looking line. It’s very disappointing to me, thus the 2 Stars rating.
