Seiko Men's SSB333 Analog Display Japanese Quartz Blue Watch, White

first off, let's establish i'm a watch snob. one of those effete jerx who only think mechanical watches are real watches.every few years i buy some quartz watch thinking i might like it, and then never wear it. THiS is NOT that watch! i love it!most important is the movement. for a decades now Seiko has for the most part been ignoring quartz chrono movements with hour counters. for those of us who wish to time longer events...they could care less. THEN came their Seikos with hour counters but the most annoying battery wasting subdial that timed tenths of seconds and shot around the dial like a flea on meth. that was a non-starter.the best chrono function layout is the one mechanical chronos use, with an ongoing seconds subdial, a minute sub and an hour sub, with the seconds timer a large hand around the entire dial. for decades you could find a few of these in quartz chronos, but very few.so apparently this year Seiko decided to go back to this classic layout/movement which was popular when i got into watches 20 years ago. it's the most functional and useful.Seiko has a few of these models now but this iS the best one. it has a totally mechanical chrono look from the domed crystal that raises up a good 3mm slab of thickness (i'm sick of the flat shiny 'hardlex' crystals that look like cheap plastic!). this alone makes the watch look like it cost at least $1000.on top of that the most popular retro cues have been used, ones which i adore: 1950s style button pushers, 1950s style round case with NO crown guards. the crown, while not a screwdown (not needed here) is nevertheless knurled like some milsub diver from the French commando legion. and the big round case looks bigger than it is at a not overlarge 42mm, with 50s style lugs that are beautiful in their classic conservatism, shorter size and quick taper.the dial itself moves beyond the 50s, more of an 80s 90s classic look from the good ole days of Tag Heuers and other Swiss brands that evoke car racing in a more subtle way than Ferrari red and yellow all over the dial.the mechanics are beyond reproach being a Seiko, and the subdial size, while not huge, is the size of many Valjoux auto mechanical chronos, which is easier to read than a lot of what Seiko has put out over the years.if you want a watch that will get compliments, and please you everytime you look at your wrist, plus be easily viewable and functional, get this now. the Amazon pricing is, per most of the time, about as good as it gets on this great piece.

This is a really attractive watch which is charged by the sun and has never run down in ordinary regular wearing. I've gotten several compliments on it, and it fits well. Has a little bit bigger band than most for my hunky giant wrist.

I returned this watch. Not because there was anything wrong with it, I just found it hard to read at a glance. It's still a beautiful timepiece.

Nice looking watch. Classic Seiko look. Color online is a little deceiving. The watch sits high. You really need to see the watch, physically. The band is dark blue. It’s classic clean watch. Great price and made by a reputable watch company.

It's just been a month, can't say anything about durability.Very comfortable, i like the style.P.s. I was swimming in the lake with them, Twice. Still working.Seiko - always good.

Feels and looks like a quality watch. Nice size and very stylish without being "in your face".

First Seiko of mine. Very handsome and solid watch. Nice construction. The dual and strap are navy blue. The product photos are darker than in person.

Great watch...I but these for my teen son (he has 4 or 5 at this point, different models of course). He loves each of them and they look and work great!

Me parece un excelente reloj. Si te gustan los cronógrafos este te gustará. De preferencia espera a una oferta. No me agrada mucho que la correa sea de 21mm, es difícil encontrar correas de este tamaño.
