Very comfortable no break in time
They do run a little short , my left foot is half size smaller than right, so i went with the 7 because the next size would be big on the smaller foot. Once my feet make their imprints in the inner sole nothing is hanging over they are very comfortable right out of the box I love them im just wearing around inside the house I just received them today no pressure points i think they are beautiful I’m 5’3” so they are going to give me height I adjusted the pretty buckles i wore this brand when I worked in the operating room loved them then I’m 72 now so I stopped wearing heals long ago I feel confident my ankle won’t roll in these because they are such great quality and fit so great .

Cute and comfortable!
I love this brand and style of shoes! I always have a pair of Dansko Sophie sandals in my closet and I wear them out! Even though they are very well made and last a long time. I went looking for a new pair when my last pair was was looking a little a worn. These caught my eye: colorful and just a bit shiny- but they didn't have my size. So I waited patiently and kept checking and when they finally restocked my size I snagged them! It's easy to buy these online because they are very consistent with their sizing. I like that the uppers are made of real leather and so breath and form to your foot. The buckles are stylish but also functional. You can adjust the width to your foot. I always need to open up the top buckle by one ring. I don't know what the soles are made of but I can wear these all day without my feet hurting. I'm sure it t has something to do with the "rocker bottom". I have even worn them to amusement parks and been fine at the end of the day. They are well worth the price in my opinion. These used to come in all kinds of designs but lately I am seeing mostly solid colors. I hope they are not phasing out patterns on this style that I love so much and especially hope that they don't discontinue it! I love my Sophie's and will continue to buy them as long as they are available!!

Love this sandal! Perfect Dansko fit.
The Sophie sandal fits exactly like my beloved Dansko daily work clogs - perfect arch support and perfect heel height. The fit I expect from a Dansko shoe. The straps are adjustable, and the footbed is soft and cushioning. I have a very high arch which also makes my foot "wide" or "tall" vertically over the arch, right where the top of the foot meets the ankle. Difficult to find a supportive, cute, dressy sandal that doesn't squeeze my foot in that spot and make it look fat. The Sophie doesn't do that at all. The second strap is snug enough to keep the shoe on, but loose enough to be comfortable and attractive. The Sophie will become my go-to spring/summer shoe. It's casual enough for shorts and capris, while also dressy enough for church. I already bought it in 3 colors. And most importantly, it's Dansko-comfortable! If you can work and stand on your feet for 14 hrs in a Dansko clog with no pain or fatigue, then you can play all day, party all night, or shop til you drop in this Sophie sandal too! Fabulous!

Run small
Really like them! Cute and comfy! Only problem is that they run short. I always wear an 8.5 in Danskos. Have to return and get a 9. Look forward to receiving the new size.

My favorite shoe
I have purchased at least three pairs of the Dansko Sophie sandal, and I will purchase more. It never fails me as a perfect walking shoe. An anecdote: A few years ago, I went on a 3-week trip to Europe as a belated honeymoon. It was October and November, and I brought a trench coat and sweaters, but kind of on a whim, I packed my Sophies, thinking I'd wear them in our Airbnbs like slippers. That was a smart move. A much less smart move was buying some shoes *the day before our trip* from Nordstrom Rack and packing them without breaking them in. Our first day in Paris, I put them on with thin knee-high hose and we went to Versailles for the day. Within an hour I had developed an excruciating blister on my left heel. It was so bad, I couldn't wear a shoe that touched my heel back for the rest of the trip. I turned to my trusty Sophies, and walked in perfect comfort for the rest of the trip. Now, Parisians and Italians are fashionistas. They don't wear sandals in the winter. My bare toes caught everyone's eye, so I ended up pairing my black Sophies with black socks, because even though wearing socks with sandals is an even more egregious fashion crime than wearing sandals in November, it ended up being less noticeable. We walked from the 7th Arrondissement to Sacred Coeur in Montmartre, and then up to the top of the basilica. We walked all over Venice. We climbed the Duomo in Florence and the Piazzale Michelangelo. We walked all over Rome--and my feet loved every minute of it. These are shoes that I know will fit and feel perfect right out of the box. I now use them when I go for walks to get my steps in--they are easier to wear than sneakers. I only wish they came in brown too.

Comfy but NOT fashionable
These are exceedingly comfortable, but not stylish at all. I love the foot bed, the heel, the arch support, the rocking motion, but not the top. I'm sure you can walk hours and hours in these, but they will still look like old lady shoes. At 47 and at the height of my career, I'm just not at the "old lady" stage yet. I need sandals I can slip on after working at the client site (in Europe) all day, that would go with my summer suit, but that I could wear to walk all night over the cobblestones. I returned these and ordered the Jacinda sandal instead (even though it does not have the same foot bed lining, which I loved here), and I have high hopes for that. Hopefully that will be the combination of style and comfort I'm looking for (update to follow). update - Just got my Jacinda sandals. Truly awesome. They don't have the same fury footbed as these do, but they are still exceedingly comfortable with great arch support and are so much more stylish! I mean, for the same comfort, quality, and price why not go for more style?

One of my favorite pairs of shoes!
I have several Danskos and other shoes for my very flat feet and these have quickly become my favorite pair of everyday shoes for running errands or walking around the house. I love the Dansko mules I bought too but I wanted something more summery since I live in Arizona and pretty much wear sandals all summer. These are absolutely perfect! I wear a pretty true size 9 and the 9.5-10 range fits beautifully. I had to adjust the straps a little bigger to fit my swollen feet, which I love that they have adjustable straps in the first place. After that, they are incredibly comfortable and I love the soft fabric on the soles. They do get grimy and stinky with all that barefoot walking but I opened up the straps and then sprayed the soles with water in the kitchen sink, let the soles soak for a few minutes, then used the sprayer to basically power wash them. After patting dry with a towel, I used a hair dryer for about 5 min per shoe to dry them faster and they looked almost brand new except for the permanent indentation your feet will eventually leave. You could proably use some dish soap too but I'm gonna see how just plain water works. I could still smell the sour smell when I was blow drying them so I may try a little soap next time instead, maybe a solution of Oxy clean for the soaking and see how that works.
