Kala KA-T Mahogany Tenor Ukulele

Quality of instrument and strings were good. Excellent sound quality. The only thing missing was the second strap peg. The Uku came fitted with only 1 peg on the box.

Awesome Ukulele with good build and good sound quality. The Aquila strings take the sound quality to a whole new level. The body is strudy and durable. The mahogany top enhances it beauty. The tuning gears are just perfect. Initially I'll take a while for you to make it stay in tune, you'll have to tune is like every hour or so but from day 2 and 3 onwards it starts to stay in tune. The overall finishing is good, I won't say excellent though. This is my 3rd Ukulele in past 3 weeks as I wasn't satisifed with build and sound quality of other brand ukuleles. I'm a beginner in musical instruments but after trying few ones the difference in sound quality can be observed even with untrained ears. Though I had to up my budget from 5k to Almost 10k to get this one, but I must say its worth every penny. The main reason for learners to start with a good quality ukulele is the sweet, crisp and warm tune motivates you to play even more. (Anyone who's wondering, those are Aquila Super Nylgut Strings, The seller must specify not just the brand but the type too.) P.S - I'm replacing it with the same one as there was a problem in one of the tone bar, the one just behind and below the sound hole. Also there was problem with the intonation from 12th to 15th fret with the E and C string.

Frets we're buzzing , cheap quality

Un superbe instrument avec une belle sonorité pour le prix. Au début se désaccorde souvent mais au bout de deux semaines, tiens très bien l'accordage. J'ai changé la corde de Sol par un Low G, c'est parfait :)

I started out with the glossy version of this same Uke (KA-TG) which cost the same (about $100) and is a little fancier (decorated sound hole). After a couple of years, I decided I had proven that I was going to stick with this instrument, so why not get a better one? In short, I got a $400 solid wood Kala and found it didn't sound as good. My chief complaint about the glossy tenor I already had was that I felt the gloss prevented resonance, so I got this here Uke, same but without the gloss. LOVE IT! The sound it warm and vibrant. I can strum more softly and still get sweet subtle vibration. If you're just starting out, and you're a grown-up, get this one... if you're buying for a kid, maybe get the glossy one since it's going to be a sit sturdier.

I really like this Ukulele. I started with a cheaper concert size kit. Used that for a while but wanted a slightly higher quality tenor sized model. This ukulele is exactly what I wanted. Sounds great, looks good, comfortable. Note there is no strap button. After using the Uke for some time I’ve noticed that it has a slightly narrower nut than some other Tenors. Overall the sound quality is quite good. Construction is good.

Sto solo cercando di imparare a suonare questo dolcissimo e speciale strumento. Ne ho già avuti per le mani tre o quattro di marche diverse, tutte abbastanza decenti. Ma Kala batte tutti, per il momento: materiali, il suono particolarmente caldo e avvolgente, merito certo anche delle splendide corde Aquila. Mi piace moltissimo e ne sono più che soddisfatto. Consegna di Amazon ormai come di consueto, precisa. affidabile, sempre in anticipo sul previsto.

Este es el segundo que tengo, lo compré porque quería otro un poco más grande pensando que como principante posicionaría mejor los dedos al tener más espacio. Todo un error porque es más estrecho que el que tengo Donner tamaño concierto, concretamente 2mm de distancia entre cuerda 1 y 4. De largo entre trastes si que este es un poco más largo. Tiene buen sonido, pero nada que envidiar el Donner a un tercio de precio menor y con extras. En fin esto me sirve para aprender que estas cosas hay que comprarlas en tienda para poder comprobar. No te fíes del prestigio de la marca. Menos mal que lo compré con buena rebaja, a precio normal no lo compraría. Espero que está opinión sirva a alguien de utilidad.
