We love you, but we don't trust you
This chain was perfect for our kegerator downstairs to lock the lid closed where we keep additional bottles for our little home pub The cloth wrap on it keeps from scratching up the wood. The is chain thick enough that it will deter any unruly child or adult from getting at our libations. If you are thinking of joining a motorcycle gang this would make a good fighting chain, tough durable and cost effective.Five stars.

Great for RV’s Too
I purchased this chain to be able to secure my surge protector for my RV. It’s just long enough to fit around most pedestals, which is perfect. It can be hard to pull around the pedestal and have a little working room with it to secure the lock though. I use a circular lock to make it more difficult to cut. A regular padlock would work just fine. Definitely worth the price for the piece of mind knowing it’s secure and would be difficult to take.

Perfect for what I needed.
I purchased this short chain to be used to lock my trailer wheel to the frame of my trailer while parked. The chain is too large and the holes in my wheel are too small to allow for more than 1 link to pass through. However, it is enough for me to lock the chain behind the wheel. So this works out even better because then no one can get a bolt cutter in place to try and cut my lock. I have not purchased a security lock yet. I have the kind used by the US Army to lock HMMWV steering wheels in place. They are heavy but can be cut. I have not tried to cut the chain with bolt cutters. I probably wont. Visually, it is its own deterrent..

Very strong and seems secure.
I bought this to secure the rear gate to my property. It is tougher than i thought and look forward to using it. The outer covering is thick and looks like it will last many years. going to cut it to make 2 chains for two locks on either side of gate. It think it will only be able to be cut by a grinder or cut off tool. Nice chain. wish it was 12 inches longer.

Guard chain review
The chain is of decent quality considering the price. It isn't as nice as a more expensive ABUS chain and the welds aren't as good but it's still a quality item. This chain is fairly short. After routing the chain through the rear wheel of a motorcycle there's enough chain to get around the tire but not much more room than that. I wouldn't plan on using this to secure a motorcycle to anything else as it just isn't long enough. The chain guard is nice and should help to protect the chain and the bike. If you need a high security chain I would go with the ABUS chain instead as they are better made and more secure. This chain doesn't cost nearly as much as the ABUS chain and provides a decent amount of security. I would recommend this item.

Toughest guy on the block
It seems as thick and tough as anything available for bikes. If you leave it well above the ground, I doubt if anyone other than professionals with power tools will try to mess with it. It's more flexible to use than a U-lock. But it is rather heavy compared to a U-lock. It is easily carried if you can wrap the chain somewhere around the bike or rack. My plan is to leave the chain at the home base, secured to something. I'll use the chain when the bike returns for overnight storage.

3/8" hardened steel for a bargain
The best protection you can get from a bike lock is either from a heavy duty U-Lock, or a hardened steel chain; and even then, if a thief really wanted your bike, he would be able to steal it. You want just enough of a nuisance that they'll move on to the next bike. After many days of research, I settled on this chain and an Abus 92/80 Solid Brass Monoblock. If you're looking for a 3 ft 3/8" hardened steel chain, this does its job at a fraction of the price compared to the Trimax chain, or any other competitors. I'm currently living around a "safe" area so I justified my purchase of this decent 3/8" chain. If your area is more prone to bike thefts, I suggest you get the Trimax or even a thicker Abus chain (also sold on Amazon). The canvas/nylon blend covering is actually pretty thick and should adequately protect your bike from any scratches. Three feet is barely enough to fasten my rear tire and frame, if you prefer more give, I suggest you lean towards the Trimax. The links are indeed square and are slightly yellow from a special zinc coating. The welds don't look perfect, compared to the product photo, but they're pretty decent for the price. The chain itself weighs about 4 pounds, luckily my chain and lock fits around my waist when I ride.

Great Product
This is exactly as described, study and durable. Extremely well-made. My only issue is the 36" length was a little too short for what I needed it for. However, that is a "me" issue and has nothing to do with the product. I would definitely buy this product.
