Don’t go near Uniblack 1 or 2 for kitchen or bathroom countertops.
I have flame-finished absolute black countertops in my kitchen and bathrooms. Over time they developed some areas of lighter color and overall looked more dark gray than black black. Uniblack 1 and 2 seemed like the perfect solution, and come from Italy, where they presumably know stone.I prepped using softscrub, mild soap and acetone to remove any old sealer that might have been present. Waited 2 days for complete drying. Then I applied Uniblack 1 as shown on YouTube. It is highly volatile and toxic so good ventilation is a must. After waiting 20 minutes for penetration, I wiped off the excess with white cotton cloths that turned black and were discarded. The countertops looked great-deep black, just the right amount of gloss. The next day, I touched a countertop and my hand turned black so I wiped them off with more towels. Same the next day, and the day after that. I finally got to a surface that would show black only with some pressure being applied when wiped. But the color still kept coming off after daily cleaning for a week, during which I could not use the countertops.I emailed the company asking for advice but got no response.I decided to apply Uniblack 2, the wax, hoping it would seal the Uniblack 1 coat and not come off itself. Uniblack 2 is less vaporizing, but still needs to be ventilated. I wiped off the excess right away, as directed. The next day, I wiped some more, same for the next two days after that.I am still getting black color on white cleaning cloths (after discarding 20 as too far gone to wash). Basically I gave up and am using the countertops but if you are wearing white and rub your waist or sleeve on one, there will be color transfer. These Uniblack products are NOT suitable for kitchen or bathroom counter surfaces. Maybe if you had granite walls that were not going to be touched it would work to restore color.I have spent over 10 hours applying and then removing these unsuitable products, so be forewarned.

Worked as well as I could have hoped
I used both one and two on countertops that I thought had to be replaced when we bought our house. My first attempts with one I followed the instructions and wiped away quickly. I didn’t get great results and ended up applying and leaving overnight to penetrate before wiping down the next morning. Fumes are too strong to do this and sleep in your home so you’d want to do it when/if you can leave. It’s true it takes a lot of wiping to get the black from transferring. A couple days later I used uniblack two, as instructed, without the extra wait time. The initial look is really amazing, six months later it’s not as black but leagues better than it looked originally. We were able to put of replacing immediately at least.

Disappointed with Uniblack 1 and 2
If you're not a professional dealing with partially polished and unsealed granite, this product will likely do nothing for your countertop. I tried every available sealant stripper, then applied the Uniblack 1 and wiped it off as shown in the YouTube video. Looks great at first but wipe it down the next morning and you are back to go. So I repeated the process and later applied the Uniblack 2 wax which is indistinguishable from the Uniblack 1. Nada, nothing, no difference at all. There is little or no application advice online or on the container. I'm sure this product is useful to someone or maybe there are application techniques known only to Romans but if you are a do-it-yourselfer, save the considerable expense for something else.
