Aleene's Fabric Stiffener and Draping Liquid, Quick Drying, Nontoxic, For Stiffening and Shaping Fabrics, 16 oz

I used this fabric stiffener to make the trending cheesecloth ghosts, and it worked like a charm! The liquid was easy to apply and dried with a nice firm hold that kept the ghost shapes upright and spooky. It didn’t leave any sticky residue and gave the fabric a clean, crisp finish. The bottle goes a long way, and cleanup was super easy. If you're doing Halloween crafts or any fabric shaping projects, this is a must-have. Loved the results!

It was thicker than I thought..I watered it down and it was easy to use..

Its pretty good, stiffened the fabric but wash out pretty quickly not sure if that's supposed to happen or not

I embroider lace with my embroidery sewing machine. Once the embroidery is completed, I need to starch the lace to make it very stiff. This starch is the only one I’ve tried that will make things like a lace angel tree topper stiff enough to stand up

I had used the Paverpol brand of fabric stiffeners in my costume work before, and was looking for a replacement for my sculpture work that used fabric. I can't see any difference between this product and Paverpol, and it did exactly what I needed it to do. It's easy to work with (but messy!), and it's easy to add more product to an area to increase its stiffness. It was great that it retained stretch as it dried to help sculpt the fabric, and I was able to paint over it without compromising the strength. A great essential for any crafter or costumer!

I use this to stiffen crocheted ornaments and it does a great job! I have tried other stiffeners but they just aren't stiff enough to hold the jewels I like to hang from my ornaments. It also cleans up easily with soap and warm water. I can easily add color by adding a little acrylic paint and a sprinkling of glitter adheres well if dusted on while still wet. I don't live in a humid climate so I can't speak to that but since it can be washed out (just throw washable items in your machine on delicate cycle) I assume it might start to sag a little with high humidity. A lacquer spray over the finished product would most likely make the project more permanent if so desired. I love this product and the fabric stores in my town don't carry it so I was thrilled to see it on Amazon! :)

I made a rather large (12x5 inch) lace ghost and although beautiful, storage is likely impossible. I do not expect it to keep its shape or last beyond the current holiday. I was hoping it would dry rock hard, but it is flimsy, even with extra coats.

Works just like it should. Takes a bit to dry but my macrame cord stayed stiff.
