great sword for younger children
I bought these for my four year old grandson for his birthday. He has a one year old brother so I wanted something that was softer in case the one year old got accidentally hit. These swords came through. They were sturdy but with a soft rubber around the edges. He loved the sounds that were made when the sword was swung. They were a little more expensive than I really wanted to spend, but I got them anyways because of the softer edges. He really seemed to enjoy them, and maybe when his brother gets a little bit older he can play with them too.

False advertising
It's advertised as a two pack and it only came with one. A shame especially since a pair of brothers were planning on playing together.

Bright and Fun Swords
The swords are motion sensitive and when you slice the air with them, they light up and make various sounds mimicking metal swords striking metal. Exactly what we wanted for our two young grandsons (4 & 8).They seem sturdy enough yet they have soft rubber edges that are not likely to cause any damage (unless of course that table lamp gets in the way).Overall a great gift for young children. I can imagine them being anything from pretend medieval swords to star wars light sabers.

Cute but not soft and safe for toddlers
These are not soft for little ones to play with can still injure an eye but they are cute and make sounds and light up so my grandson likes them. Just watch closely when they are playing with them.

We love these swords! but pay attention to the age rating.
For starters, these swords are awesome. We love the sounds and the lights. Reviews of other swords we read talked about how unbearably loud the others were - these swords are a really good volume. The construction of these is great, with good solid plastic cushioned with the rubber rim.The age rating of up to 6 years seems appropriate. My son is 9, and unfortunately we started getting cracks after a few days of serious battling. We expected we were going to be hard on them, so they totally met and exceeded our expectations. FYI, some superglue has helped give us a few more hours of action out of them with each application.Summary: we love these swords

Espadas de luz
Llegaron en el tiempo prometido a pesar de ser temporada. Mi hijo esta feliz con sus 2 espadas, los sonidos le dan un sensacion de que fueran Reales

Great Sounds and Lights-Seem sturdy!
We bought these for my son to play with. He loves the sounds and lights. They take three batteries in each and you just have to make sure the switch is turned to “off” when not in use. We actually returned our first pair and were sent replacements and so far so good. The first pair had a few issues with the battery covers. Those broke off. Perhaps it was just a bad batch. Anyway, my son loves them and didn’t even realize they were replaced!

Shoddy, arrived broken.
A sword that makes noises sounded great. However, one sword arrived with a missing battery connecter so doesn't work. The other sword makes noises at random times. They are quite heavy for a 4 yrs old. Better to save your money than buy junk. I regret the purchase.
