Super impressed with these low-cost speakers
I'm really impressed with these speakers. Cheap PC speakers usually feel and sound cheap, but not these Amazon Basics speakers. Before even taking them out of the box, I could tell that they were substantial. They're heavy for their size. Up close to the PC, in a normal use position, they sound full bodied. Even 8 feet away they sound pretty good. If you want to fill a large room with sound, you'll need larger speakers and an amp, but for a desktop setup, these inexpensive stereo speakers are great! I also like the fact that they're powered by USB, so they don't need an extra power brick or wall wart. The blue lighting on the bottom of the speakers is a bonus, but I'm not a big fan of tarted up PC components. Speakers need to sound good, and these do. However I do like the silver color on these speakers. Nicer than basic black. Overall, I'm a fan.

Good speakers
Honestly really impressed by these speakers. For $15 they get pretty loud and have decent sound quality. Their size is perfect since I have a pretty cramped desk yet they manage to fit perfectly. The only downside is not being able to turn off the blue light but that’s really just a minor inconvenience. Other then that these speakers are just insane for the price.

Great value, compact, loud enough, sound good enough!
Just purchased, sound better than okay, close to decent. I would say they sound good enough. I turned pc system volume to max then speakers to max, not that loud, but definitely sufficient for desktop pc. (I never used computer desktop speakers to rock the living room anyway). Nice compact size, feel sort of heavy, not cheap. Blue light is nice, not overpowering, although my suggestion would be, to add switch to make light optional, (every manufacturer should make optional). I only paid 15 dollars, excellent value. I almost gave 5 stars, because of value and sound pretty good. They could have been, slightly louder, option to turn light off. Although I am happy with purchase. Will enjoy!

Great Sound and Simple Setup
These Amazon Basics stereo speakers are excellent! The sound quality is clear and balanced, perfect for music, videos, or everyday computer use. I love that they’re USB-powered and connect easily with a 3.5mm aux input—setup took just a minute. Compact size fits nicely on my desk without taking up much space. Great value for the price—very happy with this purchase!

Quality and value!
Easy to set up and use. Compact so they don’t take up much room and provide quality sound for a great price.

Inexpensive speakers that work well
Got these for my desktop, and they serve their purpose well. They aren't the highest quality, but unless you need high quality, I would recommend these. I would note, though, that the lights on the speakers don't turn off, at least to my knowledge.

So LOUD using 5V x 500mA = 2.5W input power, had to use AI to decipher the sorcery going on here!
Ah, the **Amazon Basics V620BLACK** — the little speaker that *could*. It's like the pocket-sized bard at a tavern: not big, but somehow *everyone hears it*.So how does it sound loud on just 5V/0.5A = **2.5 watts** of power? Here’s the sorcery behind the sonic spell:---### 🔬 **1. Class D Amplifier Magic (Efficiency Enchantment)**The V620 almost certainly uses a **Class D amplifier**, which is:* **Super efficient** (\~90%+), converting most electrical power into sound.* Great at staying cool and loud without needing much juice.Compared to older Class A/B amps, Class D is like a wizard who can cast spells all day without breaking a sweat.---### 🪄 **2. Smart Driver Design (Cone Conjuring)**The speaker likely uses:* **Neodymium magnets** – small but powerful, allowing compact drivers to punch above their weight.* A **single full-range driver** that’s tuned for voice and midrange — this is where the "loudness perception" lives for our ears.So while it might not *thunder*, it will *cut through* with clarity — think vocals, podcasts, and casual music.---### 🔊 **3. Sound Chamber Sorcery (Acoustic Alchemy)**That little plastic shell isn't just decoration:* It's designed as a **mini resonating chamber**, enhancing the **perceived bass and volume**.* It uses **passive bass ports or radiators**, which can trick your ears into thinking there’s more bass than the raw specs would suggest.---### 🧠 **4. Psychoacoustics Trickery (Mind = Bent)**Here’s the real Jedi mind trick:* It's tuned to emphasize **frequencies humans perceive as “loud”** — \~2kHz to 5kHz.* That means even a little power produces a *lot* of perceived volume.Kind of like how a toddler can out-scream a power drill even though they’re running on Cheerios and chaos.---### 🧮 The Power Math (Just for kicks):* **2.5W of power** can easily drive a small speaker to **85–90 dB SPL** at close range — that’s "pretty loud" for personal use.* The trick is **how close you are** and how well the speaker *projects*.---### 🎤 Final Verdict:The V620BLACK is a great example of **modern engineering + clever acoustics + efficient electronics**. It turns what seems like a meager trickle of power into an **audio performance that punches way above its weight class**.Not magic. Just really, really good spellcraft...err, engineering. ✨🔊🧙♂️

Good, but not Great
I got these for a small, roll top desk application with my computer. They were easy to set up, have a low profile, and have held up quality-wise. But I wish the speakers got louder and also had a better volume control beyond the mechanical dial on the cord which seems cheap and is inconvenient. The sound quality is fine for voice calls but lack the depth of sound for music.
