Melissa & Doug Mine to Love Brianna 12-Inch Soft Body Baby Doll with Hair and Outfit

Bought this for my 1 year old daughters birthday, it's exactly what I was looking for. I needed a doll with a lot of hair she can grab onto, she has to hold my hair to fall asleep and I needed something to take the place of that, this was perfect. The doll has A LOT of thick, shiny, soft beautiful hair, she smells good has a sweet face and even smells good. The hair can be taken out of the pony tails and brushed, I'm really amazed how much hair she has and it's not falling out all over the place. The size is a good size so my daughter can lug her around herself. The price is fantastic compared to all the other dolls I've looked at, so if she does totally destroy her hair I don't have to worry about it since I didn't spend a fortune. My daughter has 3 other dolls that she's never really played with, in the 4 days she's had this one it goes everywhere with her she loves it and so do I. HIGHLY recommend this doll.

We have 4 of these adorable Brianna Dolls! My little son has this habit where he has to wrap his fingers around strands of my hair and suck his thumb in order to go to sleep. Terrible! So, at age 1, I bought him his first Brianna doll, so that he could use her hair instead of mine to go to sleep. Each year I've gotten a new one for him. The old one has some pretty bad dreds, and he does prefer the newer ones, but he will use the oldest one if the other ones aren't around. He takes a Brianna doll to preschool with him to use for nap time. I also think it is a good idea to let boys play and use dolls if they are so inclined. It helps with empathy and nurturing. My hair will always be his favorite, but he sure loves his Brianna dolls, too. He takes good care of her, puts her to bed, gives her her own thumb or pacifier (she comes with the ability for both!), feeds her (I bought the Melissa and Doug feeding set for him which includes bottles, pretend baby food, spoon, and bib), and cradles her. This same boy is rough and tumble with tractors, fire trucks, trains, and planes. This Brianna doll just gives him a little softness that rounds him out just perfectly. Melissa and Doug makes excellent quality toys!

My daughter had one of these years ago. I loved this doll especially because its looks reminded me of my daughter with its dark hair and dark eyes, but also because of its nice features. She really enjoyed playing with it for a time. Unfortunately, her obsession for stuffed animals edged out the baby dolls, so we eventually got rid of it when toy purging. It's hard to find a decent quality doll for a reasonable price. It's even harder to find one that has eyes that open and close and look realistic, which was important to me. Many little ones are so enamored by the eyes that can open and close and it makes the doll feel more real to them. My daughter just loved that feature. Most of the dolls on the market are hard plastic all the way through, while this one has a plastic face and limbs, but the torso/body part is soft and huggable. And finally, if you do find a doll that looks realistic, has nice hair to comb, has a soft body, has eyes that open and close, you will often find the price 2-4 times the cost of this doll. This doll hits the right features for a reasonable price point and is quality made. When a doll was requested for Christmas for my 3yo niece, I jumped at the chance to get this particular doll for her. She opened her present and couldn't wait to get it out of the box. She adores her new baby doll.

Little girl loves the dolly. Nice soft body in tan brown instead of white and she can close her eyes. The doll is great, especially for the price. I really came here to write about the frustrating packaging which is the most absolutely horrible design. The doll is attached to the box in at least 7 places, and not with anything that can be cut with a pair of scissors or untwisted by hand. Instead, it's attached with industrial strength plastic coated wire, and must have been twisted by a demented machine or sadistic factory worker. My husband spent well over 20 minutes using a pair of pliers trying to get this doll out of the box, all the while being tortured by a very excited little girl jumping up and down shouting "Open it! Open it! Pleeeease!!!" Note to parents - if you order this doll please allow extra time to extricate it from the box in advance of giving it as a gift. Otherwise, there could be tears of disappointment all around.

I was a tiny bit hesitant about this doll based on some of the reviews saying she wasn't as cute as her picture, her hair was thin and she has a strong baby powder smell. Well, they must've just gotten a bad doll or something because to me she's twice as cute as in the pictures, I wish I had hair as thick and luxurious as this doll has and I didn't smell a thing. Now, my son and husband did note the scent on the doll so maybe I was congested or something. However, they both agreed that it wasn't strong and it was faded in about a day and a half. Anyway, the important part, our granddaughter loved this doll! She got way too many gifts at Christmas and this was the only one she never put down. She carried her everywhere, slept with her and, if her father would've allowed it, she would've bathed with her! I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

I was so excited to order this doll for my 16mo old. I was a little worried since some complained of a smell, but when she came in I was thrilled. The smell is not bad and actually reminds me of dolls I had growing up in the 80's. She has a good weight to her and she's petite enough I think my daughter will be able to tote her around. I brought her to work because I was so excited she came in, and the first thing everyone wanted to do was hug the doll. My boss who thought about ordering one too was regretting not doing it. Though the face wasn't AS cute as the picture, it's still cute. I do suggest what others have. Get the doll out of the box before you give it. She was attached to a lot of wires and threads. Even with a box cutter it took ten minutes to get her free. It was so worth it though!

We bought this doll for our daughter for Christmas, along with the blond haired one from Melissa and Doug and also the ballerina doll. I took the dolls out of their packaging so I could undo all the twist ties and things and then carefully placed them back in the box to wrap. This way, our daughter can take the doll right out of the box and enjoy her Christmas morning without having to wait for us to spend a half hour freeing her. These dolls are a nice size for our 22 month-old daughter. These dolls have hair, which is something we think our toddler will enjoy. We also have one of the Corolle dolls but it doesn't have real hair. These dolls obviously have hair but they're the smaller size that's easier for a toddler to carry around. We're pleased with the look and size (and even the nice smell) of these dolls and we're sure our daughter will like them Christmas morning.

I have purchased this for my 2 year old daughter and cant wait to see her face when she opens it. It is a lovely doll, able to put thumb and dummy in mouth. Slightly smaller than expected but overall a great purchase.
