Pretty good for its use
This product is as described, it shipped fast and in great condition. The construct of it is a little simple kind of like spring loaded scissors. This is perfect for your bonsai tree if you want to cut off certian leaves or very small green branches. I use this for my chinese elm and it works great for cutting off fresh limbs. There are to small to cut any heavier branches though so dont try as you will scar your bonsai. all in all if you want a cheaper trimmer but one that will last you i would go with this one.

Very Small, Very Sharp, Precise Cuts
I was a bit surprised when I first opened the package and saw how small these are. They are about 4" in length. The blades are razor sharp and slice through leaves and small non-woody branches with ease. They come in a small pouch and had a light coat of oil to protect the metal.+ Small+ Super Sharp+ Small Case+ Comes Lightly Oiled+ Inexpensive- No Negative On This One_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would definitely recommend these to a friend and if they become too dull to use, I will probably just buy a new pair for $5 or give a shot at sharpening. I was disappointed to see how small they are at first but after using them on my 6 year old bonsai tree I realized how useful it is to have such a small tool. I am able to trim with precision and avoid bumping or accidentally cutting other areas of the tree.

1 pc Bonsai, Bud Trimmer
I bought this for my dad, who has a japanese garden full of bonsai trees. It works decently well, as it is sharp and cuts precisely. However, I did expect the length of it to be a little bigger. It looks bigger on-line than it does in reality. It does trim and cut well... however, I would suggest getting a good grip on it when trimming plants, as the width of the tool seems to be somewhat narrow. It probably can also be used to cut thread, fabric or some other household item that doesn't require strenuous cutting.

fine product, except the case was extremely inferior
It didn't come in the color listed, (mine was red) which isn't a huge deal, but I would expect that to be mentioned... Also the case it came in was completely busted when I received it, cheap plastic just split right down the side... and the shears are somewhat sharp, so one would want a case for them for storage purposes.... But I'm giving it four stars because for the price, what do you expect?

Occasionally Comes Undone
This is a great trimming tool for Bonsai. I use it once or twice every week for a good bit of trimming of my trees. It is precise and easily positioned. The only problem with the product is that, sometimes, the two blades will pop out, one over the other. This is fairly irritating, but they can be reset without too much trouble. But for the price, you can't really complain.

Surprising quality and sharpness at a bargain price!
The bud trimmer arrived very quickly and I was very impresses with the quality of the tool and the sharpness of the blades. Inexpensive clippers usually have rough surfaces on the blades and appear to be sharpened on a grinder, but these shears were very polished and the edges mated together perfectly. Very pleased with them as they cut very cleanly!

Sharp... very sharp
Regardless of the approach -- and there should be an approach -- trimming your bush is a highly beneficial move. First of all, it reduces the overgrown and unruly bush that can minimize the appearance of your favorite Bonsai, and secondly it increases the sensuality and fluidity of the tree itself.Perhaps the most basic and judicious way involved in removing unwanted "bush" and cutting away the junk hiding the beauty of your Bonsai appendage is simply to trim it back. Two affordable options exist: scissors and electric trimmers. Scissors are acceptable when used by skilled hands, but an electric trimmer is highly recommended for the more experience "trimmer". However, the scissors I purchased for trimming the bush worked well.

Loving these tools!
Having a lot of fun learning to shape and guide my azalea bonsai tree with these tools. I found them to be easy to use and they seem to be well made.I would recommend them to others and have ordered a set to send with a bonsai tree to a couple of people as gifts.
