Ever sewer has their favourite thread, mine is Gutemann. You know what you are getting, quality is always consistent. This is a good all round thread, I pretty much use it for everything and anything, I love it for buttonholes - I think it makes a big difference. I bought this particular colour to make a shirt for my husband, the shirt did not turn out well , but that was due to me not the thread. The buttonholes were sublime though.I almost always have a good time when I have Gutemann's loaded in my machine.

The colour of this Guterman's Fog Grey polyester thread is slightly more pale than suggested on-screen but is probably a better match for the fabric with which it is to be initially used than if the precise depth of tone suggested. It will work well with any light- to mid-grey fabric but there are also deeper greys available from the range.Gutermann is an established brand much used within the garment industries, and others of their specialist threads are used elsewhere. The quality is high and it won't shrink but will stretch slightly if required. It can be used with all fabrics whether natural or synthetic plus those of a mixed-fibre nature.Pricing is not too dissimilar to the current prices for a much smaller 100m spool.
