Whats better Aluminum or Magnesium?

Magnesium. The best is an electric anode rod. I had this rod tested with a material analyzer, and it doesn't contain aluminum or magnesium. The results are as follows: Mn - 14.71% (Manganese) Ni - 5.68% (Nickel) Ta - 6.86% (Tantalum) W - 72.76% (Tungsten) I washed this rod before testing.

Will this fit a Kenmore Power Miser 12 water heater? (Kenmore part number is 9001829)

Double check if 3/4" inch thread size, not head, if so then yes. May need to cut it short if short water heater model. Note: Magnesium rod, Kenmore 9001829 is aluminum. May not matter if using city water, but recommend zinc if using well water.
