Great product
These are great. I have bought them 4 or 5 times. I use them to wrap my ribbons, fivers and smaller laces on and they are perfect. They are not rough and they are well made. The price is a value for the quality and I will continue to buy them

Great for Crafts/Acceptable for Laundry
I purchased these for craft purposes, but given I line dry all my clothes, I decided to review them for laundry purposes too just because I've seen so many mixed reviews on them. It's true these clothespins are not the high quality thicker ones from the early to mid-1900s, you cannot find those anymore, but the quality is pretty much the same as the ones from the 1970s and 1980s. The package does state that they can not handle more than 2 pounds of weight, so for people complaining that they don't work for jeans or heavy blankets, they are not designed for heavy items. It seems that most people who use these for laundry do not use them in the same way people did back in the early 1900s, back then on heavier laundry items, people would soak the clothespins in warm/hot water before using them to loosen them up so they had less risk of snapping, in the winter months they would add salt to the water they soaked the clothespins in, so the clothespins wouldn't stick to the line. While doing this shortens the life of the clothespins, it does make them work better. That being said, these work great for regular clothes, like T-shirts and work exceptionally well for cloth diapers. The gap in the clothespins is literally identical from clothespins made in the 1980s, perhaps some batches of them may differ, that was my experience. The quality of the wood used now is not as high as back in the 1980s so they probably will not last as long as older ones, but that appears to be the case with all types of wood clothespins now, even the ones with the metal clasp. For craft purposes, these work great for the purpose of making clothespins dolls. As I said above, they are identical in size and shape as those from the 1980s, when it was common-place to make clothespins dolls as craft projects in school. Some of them are a little rough and need a bit of sanding, but for the price I can't complain. The round part on the top of the clothespins isn't perfectly round, it's more oval shape, so if you are wanting perfect clothespin dolls with bigger heads, you need to buy the ones they make especially for craft purposes. But when you can get a quantity of 100 of these for the same price as a much smaller pack of the craft ones, these are a good option, especially since kids often screw some of them up and want to start over.

Great for making Lady Locks cookies
These worked great for my lady locks cookies. Wrap with foil and grease lightly before wrapping with dough. Remove the cooked cookie while still warm (5 minutes out of the oven) for easy removal. Quality control could be better. One third of package used with one unusable clothespin so far. Hope to not find more. Account for this if you need an exact amount.

Wrap your embroidery thread around these for neat and easy storage and use.
Learning to do embroidery on my clothes. What a nice way to store my thread. Each pin is wrapped with one color for me to use and keeps the thread neat and orderly.

Not only people use clothes pins, birds love them.
I purchased these for my Moluccan Cockatoo to play with. She has had so much fun out of these clothes pins throwing them out of her tub we use to store them in.

Good for something, but not hanging laundry
I broke my rule of always reading comments. These clothespins seem to be well made and are nice and long, however, the gap does not allow it to go over the clothesline, much less over any wash you would like to hang. I would return them if I hadn’t already opened the package. May be good kindling for the fire this winter. Below is a comparison of what works and what doesn’t.

Long lasting clothes pegs
Love these clothes pegs. So tired of plastic pegs that break so easily.

Made for clothesline and not silly crafts
Excellent quality! The split is perfect size for clothes and line. Holds snug. Smooth in split so leaves no catching or residue on clothes. In today's world of insuperior quality - this ranks 5 stars
