10'x10' Pop Up Canopy Tent Commercial Instant Shelter, with 4 Removable Zippered Side Walls and Heavy Duty Roller Bag, 4 Sand Bags Navy Blue

I did not intend to wait a year to review this canopy but I forgot. I use this canopy for my hot tub on my patio, it stays up all year long with only the sides coming off in good weather. I have gone through three other canopies prior to this one and all others failing miserably. We recently had a snow storm that dropped about 4" of snow in our area and I forgot to take the canopy down. (I am in SC and we don't get much snow here). To my surprise the canopy was still completely intact with a heavy blanket of snow sitting on it but it did appear to be about to collapse at any moment. I quickly removed the snow and turned on a portable heater inside to de-ice it. During the snow removal I somehow made two small triangular shaped holes in the roof and it still does not leak when it rains. I have just contacted the seller to see if I can purchase a new top for it and even if I cannot i will still continue to use this and give it a very high review.

I got this crazy idea. We were smoking cigars in the garage but the house started to stink. I live in Ohio where the winters get pretty cold. Where was I going to smoke in freezing cold weather? That’s where the idea of the smoke shack was born. I priced construction material to build a shelter but it got costly quick. We decided to find a pop up canopy with walls. After doing some searching we settled on this one. It looked sturdy but could it hold up in the snow and freezing temperatures? So the canopy arrived and we started setting it up. Man this thing was bigger than I expected. It was like a circus tent in my backyard. Setup was a little rocky but manageable with some help. I decided to hang blankets all around the inside of the walls and across the cross bars ( that’s a tongue twister). We even hung some lights and threw a heater in it. It’s been a month and this thing has held up. All the extra weights from the dozen blankets hasn’t phased it. Wind, snow, ice it holds strong. I’ll be honest I expected to have trashed this thing by now. Instead I’m the life of the party with people coming over who can smoke outside and stay warm. As I write this smoking my stogie while it’s 8 degrees outside I am super thankful for finding such a great solution to my half baked idea.

Once you get it set up the first time, it's pretty easy to set up again. It's just the first time, if you're not sure how to assemble it, that's a pain in the butt. Just leave the main canvas on the frame, after you build it the first time and it's SO much easier. With two people, you can fit it in the convenient carrying case just fine with the canvas on. The tent and frame are pretty sturdy! It was able to weather two heavy wind and rain thunderstorms the first time I used it! The inside of the tent material was wet to the touch, but surprisingly, water didn't start dripping through the ceiling, and none of my art pieces got wet. I was going to add the video of the first storm, but it looks like I only added it to my Instagram, so I don't have the saved file. The only problem I've had with the frame is that the second time I used it, one of the locks broke off in my hand. The tent is still usable, but we need to use needle-nosed pliers to get that part to work now. The other problem I had is that the tent did not come with the advertised weights. I had to send my husband to purchase some concrete blocks to use as weights instead, and those work great. They look like little sand castles, so that's fun. Luckily, Amazon was willing to refund me the cost of those blocks, so everything worked out okay.

I’ve been using this canopy for two years now. My first attempt at purchasing this led to a canopy that looked like it had green paint splattered all over the top. It was promptly replaced after contacting customer service. So, two years in to this second one I’ve got some things to say. I can set this tent up by myself. I’m 5’ 1” and manage to set it up with minimal issues. The top is really tight though so I can never get it to stay down on all four corners so I do the front first, then the back so that it looks sleek from the front. Sometimes I have difficulty locking the last leg into place at the top and even with grown man assistance I can’t get it to lock with using my shoulder to support the tent while I push it into place. Last June, less than one year in, one of the locking mechanisms broke on the leg. I had been using it consistently at least once a month since the previous October. I am able to use an eyeglass screwdriver to release the lock. A few months later, another leg’s mechanism broke. So, now I have to keep that eyeglass screwdriver with me at all times or that tent is not coming down after set up. I thought buying a canopy with metal mechanisms would save me the trouble of mechanisms breaking, but alas, that was not the case. It catches wind, so if you live somewhere particular breezy I would go with a canopy that has slits in the top to prevent it from lifting off in the middle of an event. It is water proof though, so I’m glad to have it in Florida. I have difficulty getting the side walls to line up, so I never zip it up. I just use the Velcro. I’ve never needed the front panel so I have no thoughts on that. Overall, it’s not a bad tent. For the price I thought it would last a little longer. I’m still using it and I intend to do so until it literally falls apart. At that point I might invest in a branded tent. I haven’t decided yet. Hope this helps someone.

As a senior, I finally had to elicit help to raise the frame and hang the zippered walls. I love the end result! I can't help but wonder, though, if the walls each had excess material at the bottom to pull inside the tent, in order to have added anchoring security, in case of high winds, heavy rains, etc. I could have added cinder blocks (or something) to help insure the tent remained just where it was placed, with no damage to the contents or frame. Also, those of more limited stature could more easily attach the walls, without requiring the assistance of family, friends or neighbors (I really don't enjoy presenting the role of a helpless senior female). That 1st click could leave the tent at a more attainable height and THEN the 2nd click (just a bit higher) could raise it to the desired height, still leaving a 4" to 6"swath of material to be pulled inside the tent to attach more weight, for additional security against adverse weather conditions. Just an early concept to be considered as an additional tweak, if feasible.

Used for 10 days in a row for camping. Held up perfectly. We had a tornado 2 miles south of us, lowered the canopy and tied it down, had to sit in it at one point bc it was lifting off the ground and it held all 180 pounds of me. So after that it became the clothes line for wet towels and swimsuits. Keeps the rain out. Provides great shade. Easy set up with 2 people. The side walls are awesome, I LOVE them!! But the zippers absolutely suck in comparison to this over all.

I used this product for two months and it’s falling apart. The foot that you anchor through into the ground fell off the leg, the stitches around the zippers are falling apart. I purchased the warranty on this item but they said it still covered by the manufacturer. But I can not get ahold of anyone or find the contact information for unique canopy. Bad product shouldn’t buy if you plan on using it longer than a month. Not to mention I bought the extended warranty and they won’t respond!
