Zoeller 508-0014 Aquanot Fit 12-volt DC Battery Back-up Sump Pump System with Built-in Wi-Fi for Z Control Connectivity

First time separating the main pump from the zoeller provided tee I found the oring broke in two. The cuts in the end of the tee to help compress the tee to the special pump discharge fitting cut the oring. Have yet to find replacement oring. Oring seems pretty weak and undersized compared with oring on the battery backup. App seems glitchy also. You can select alerts to go to email address and text phones. Only about half the alerts go through text messaging compared with emails. -1star for oring, -1star for text alerts. Also, unless you have cable modem and router on UPS, it’s unlikely you’ll get alerts on loss of power.Update-downgraded from three stars to two. Emailed customer service about replacement oring and check valve for spare main pump. I believe the check valve is readily available but details for the oring aren’t available and replacements don’t seems available anywhere. Never heard back from customer service.

I have a very good primary sump pump and wanted a great back up sump pump as well. I got this though another source, but wanted to share why I think this backup pump is a top choice. Its a new model for 2019. Zoeller is one of the more reputable pumps among Pro's - its not available at your local hardware or big box store. This system includes their proven 508 DC power sump pump. 1850 GPH at 10 foot of head means it will handle a decent amount of water. It also comes with dual "float" switches - a low and high. Floats are one of the more failure prone parts of pumps. The solutions to this are dual floats or electronic water switches. Lastly the new charger/controller is very good. It has 7 amps of charging - fast recharge and can charge two batteries if needed. The controller includes notable features like - routine testing, pump status, battery status, low and high water alarms, and it provides all this though both local alarm and thought built in wifi to an App on your phone. Knowing what is happening and if your pump and battery are in good condition is key to keeping your basement dry. Add in your own battery - recommend a Group 31 AGM Marine deep cycle battery - and expect between 7 hours of continuous pumping or 48 hours or more if the pump only runs intermittently during an outage .Post Edit - I later confirmed if your primary sum pump fails - and AC power is still present - this DC pump will run WITHOUT draining the battery. Page 3 of the Installation manual under the table - look for the asterisk statement. This is a VERY good feature - Zoeller should advertise this as many backup sump pumps can't do this - they work only off the battery power.

'telsa" review, may be mistaken, based on my research, Zoeller 508-0014, "does not" include the ability, to use 120v electricity. You will need to purchase, the Zoeller 508-0008, at a much higher cost, to have that feature. Do your homework!

Phone app crashes as soon as I sign into my account on iPhone. Not able to use z-cloud monitoring device at all. Horrible product with false advertising. Based on reviews in App Store this is widespread problem.

So mine 2, maybe 2 1/2 years old. Installed this in a basement apartment as a backup. Main pump failed, Apartment flooded. Again, it’s a tenant, so I’m not sure how I didn’t get a call saying the alarm triggered? Anyway, called to price a new pump. $300!Appears to be the exact looking pump as advertised…no thanks! I’ll replace their pump with a $50 bilge.
