Great for sleeping ear plugs
Working graveyard i quickly realized I need some earplugs for sleepindiring the day. When molded properly these provide adequate noise cancelation and are very comfortable for sleeping. I sleep on my side and these work great. With respect to comfort I hardly notice they are in my ear. I like these so much I bought two more pairs. One for the shooting range and one to give to my family member who hates those little orange foam plugs that you squish and place in your ear. These things are also really good at staying put. After proper molding they will not come out of your ear unless you pull them out. Great product and fast shipping.

Super easy to work with!
So, got my Radians orange earplug kit in today and I was eager to test out the process. The first thing I did was pinch off a tiny bit from both sections, mixed and set the piece between my finger to make a mold (could have used anywhere I suppose, just wanted to see it keep shape). 10 minutes later and a perfect mold had taken place! I actually did this first because I had read other reviews about the compound not setting in peoples' ears and well, I didn't want any mush in my ears. So, if it didn't work in the test then it wasn't going in my ears. Like I said, it set just fine so I was off to clean my ears and get ready to put some weird stuff in my ear for 10 minutes. Both ears completed, molds sitting out to cure and they look great. 3-4 hours later (they say to wait 3 hours for them to totally get set) I pick them up, pop them in my ears and they fit great, like they were made for me (yes, I know, they were). Getting them in takes a little practice but once you get it it's pretty simple.Overall, love them, can't wait to take them to the gun range! The only thing I wish was different was the color, they're supposed to be orange but once you mix the orange and the white compounds it turns into a creamsicle color (yes, still an orange but I was hoping for a brighter shade)...but hey, I can't see them while I'm using them so oh well!

Really good, really comfortable, slightly hard to mold
These are perhaps the best custom molded ear plugs I've ever used. They are extremely comfortable. Let me say that I've suffered from tinnitus and overly sensitive ears for years. I've tried TONS of plugs. I've even gone through 2 pairs of expensive customized ear plugs because I've misplaced them($200 per pair). The Radians are actually significantly more comfortable then the expensive custom molded plugs. The only advantage to the custom plugs is that they are almost non detectable when in the ear because they go all the way in and barely stick out. But they actually hurt my ear after 30 minutes of use. Plus the cost of losing them is painful itself. The radians are incredibly comfortable and provide a good level of sound reduction. They are not as well hidden as the high end custom molds but I guess you have to ask yourself...do I wanna protect my hearing with comfort or do I wanna look cool? My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the method by which you make the plugs isn't full proof. In fact I'd go so far as to say it takes a little practice and you might not get it right on the first go around. And if the plug is not molded correctly it will be ineffective. So that's why I didn't give these 5 stars. That being said...when molded correctly they are 5 star plugs for sure. And after they are molded it takes no time at all to insert them in your ear with a perfect fit. Unlike the squishy ones where you squeeze it and let it expand in your ear. Sometimes those don't always sit right. Once the radians are molded(with a good fit) they work perfectly every time. My suggestions would be to watch some youtube videos of people molding these and also...if this is your first pair...buy two pairs just in case you make a mistake the first time around. At the price it's not a the end of the world to pay for 2 pairs. And if you don't need it you'll have another pair for the future or as a back up if you lose your first pair. Highly recommend these.

Very good ear plugs.
I use these ear plugs which were very easy to make, along with my ear muffs for added hearing protection above 50+ dbs combined hearing protection. The fitted ear plugs do not interfere with the ear muffs and are very comfortable. I recommend highly. Only draw back is I need to make another pair in colder weather. Ear canals swell in hot weather and contract in cold weather which effects the fit. Summer ear plugs are a little loose but still work fine.

Comfortable but not for motorcycling
Works okay and the set up was easy. However, they tend to not stay in your ear as they should. Putting on a helmet (full face) usually loosens them up as the helmet pulls over your ear, but even if you get it past without it pulling your ear the plugs loosen up over time. I wouldn't recommend these for anyone using it for motorcycling.

Meh - better than a stick in the eye - and good product for a good price.
It takes time to get used to a hunk of playdough in your ears. Also, I traded a loud engine noise for the sound of my breathing. Finally, the quick and recurring changes in pressure on a motorcycle get amplified thru these plugs and into your ear canals.I ended up driving a screwdriver thru the center to see if a small hole would still keep the same sound deadening but alleviate the pounding pressure change. It worked. The sound is deadened somewhat - and the feeling of being plunged 15 meters below water and back up again every few seconds is gone. These are far more comfortable than the decibullz I tried. And comfort means I can wear them on long (5 hour) rides and not have severe pain (like the decibullz give).

May cause damage to ear canal!
I have purchased these twice. The first time I followed the directions and ended up with a working set of earplugs. Occasionally i had issues getting these to seat properly when inserting them in my my ears. For the most part they worked, but occasionally they alloed too much noise in. I decided to try making another set so i placed the order again. I have small ear canals and the first set barely entered the opening. With this second set i decided to be more aggressive with pushing the mixture into my ear. I also allowed it to set up for more than the recommended 10 minutes. What I ended up with was nearly an inch worth of this stuff in my ear canal. When removing the earplugs, it was very painful. Due to this i ended up throwing them away. The worst part came to light the next day. I noticed something crusty in my ear. It turned out to be dried blood. I damaged the lining of the ear canal when i painfully removed them. I have been cleaning blood out of my ear for two days now.If you decide to get these, stick to the 10 minute time frame for removal and only press the suff โintoโ you ear canal once or twice.Be careful and good luck!

Super happy with the results.
I got these custom earplugs to make some custom mold earbuds. I'm very happy with how it turned out. These earbuds are so comfortable now.Be sure to follow instructions mixing it up. Some people didn't use the full amount but I used all of it. I put tape on the earbud to keep the mold out which worked really well for me. I let it set up for 20 mins and it was plenty cured when I took them out. You want push it in to your ears pretty good but don't over do it.Putting the earbuds in the mold is tricky. The right one I put in was pretty far off. I trimmed it up with an xacto knife and the earbud isn't really in my ears canal at all. I was concerned but it still sounds really good. With nothing in your ear canal it's super comfortable. If you're using it for hearing protection, I don't think it works better than ear plugs. I was able to hear the TV while it was curing with out any trouble.

Worked perfectly.
Worked exactly how I wanted it to. I bought this kit to make a custom fit earbud body as I haven't found any ready made ones that are comfortable or stay in well. This kit plus a DIY video and now I have snug earbuds with improved noise reduction. Downside i have to take them apart to charge my buds, but it's worth it for a snug fit.

Works well but doesn't last forever
The initial molding process was not too hard, and I followed the advice from the other reviews. Sound isolation is good. However after 3 months of daily use, one section of the earplug is starting to break off. This might be mitigated by not spreading out the putty too thinly in the ear, but I still wouldn't expect it to last more than a few months.

Good value
Very easy to mold into shape. Very comfortable to wear and extremely effective

Not worth the effort
I watched videos and read the instructions carefully before starting, and I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions correctly.First of all, the colour wasn't orange as in the photos, it ended up a pale flesh colour after the two parts were mixed together. That's no good for me - I needed a bright colour in case I drop them somewhere.Secondly, even following the instructions, the ear plugs didn't extend anywhere near far enough down the ear canal. So they do sit in place, but they won't stay in place when I put my helmet on. And they fall out of my ears when I take my helmet off.If you want custom molded ear plugs that fit properly, get them made for you by a professional. That way they are guaranteed to fit correctly. I have had them made for me before (years ago), and they were great, so I know what I'm talking about. I figured I might get away with doing it myself for a cheaper price this time, but as with most things in life, you really do get what you pay for.
