A shorting ring on the polepiece is responsible for the speaker's extremely low levels of second and third order harmonic distortion. This impressive motor is coupled to an optimized paper cone with rubber surround, supported by a cast aluminum frame.

Great little motor.
Used in a battery-powered bass cab. 0.21 cu ft vented. Sounds exceptional all the way down to 50 hz, can get a nice stand-up bass sound if I don't drive it too hard.

Replacement subwoofer for 1997 Lexus LX450
It's a decent subwoofer to replace my 14 year old subwoofer in the 1997 Lexus LX450. It's direct drop-in replacement with very minor modification. I got good bass out of it.

Excellent sound.
I used the W3 Tang Band drivers in Klipsch Promedia satellites. Pleasantly surprised that they sound better than originals. Well made little speakers. Since the voice coils are slightly larger, the crossover board had to be angled away by only using one mounting screw. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Mounting holes on drivers were tight fit but worked without enlarging. Very happy with these speakers. Money well spent.
