The screws holding the handle had come loose in shipping. Its hand crank is more of a novelty since it would take an entire week of constant cranking to charge the battery. The solar panel only charges battery when in full sun and takes many days to fully charge the battery. Promised wind, water, etc charging options have not materialized. Customer service email requests asking if the unit can be charged with a vehicle go unanswered. The hand crank generator and battery make this unit too heavy to carry around. In its current form, only usable on expeditions where you have access to AC power to recharge battery. I cannot recommend this charging unit.

I have been testing the power traveller solar exhibition charger,via amazon.This product is capable of being able to charge up its battery.Through many different ways.Either through using a water ,or hand crank.By using its solar charger & via wind.Unfortuntly,this product is no longer available from power traveller.The problem,I had,was that this product is in a kit.But when I received this product.Accessories,to the kit were missing.So I could not do a through testing of this product.so I was not able to use,either the water or wind functions.of this product.The battery holds 10.500 before a person,needs to recharge this item.
