I have 15mm fitting but it doesn't seem to be screwing on atall and just comes out if i pull on it gently. What do i need to do? Return as faulty?

The taps are 1/2 inch, you could by a 1/2 inch to 15 mm adaptor. Otherwise return and buy taps with 15 mm coupling.
