Large Delicious Canned Oysters
Large, delicious oysters in mild, healthy olive oil. I really enjoy this variety and take them as a natural source of iodine for my thyroid I like to eat them for brunch or snack as they're a great source of protein and good fats. They are expensive but worth it.

DELICIOUS‼️ 🦪 🦪 🦪
These oysters are sooo Delicious. & to know they are made with 100% olive oil. Is even better. I sometimes just eat them as a sandwich. Or other times. I just make white rice with a can of the oysters & some avocado. I highly recommend them. If u love oysters u will love these. I can’t say enough good things about these oysters. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🦪🦪🦪🦪🦪

Terrific buy for canned, smoked oysters.
These Crown Prince oysters are sustainably farmed in South Korea. As that country is reasonably environmentally conscious, one can presume they farm them in a relatively unpolluted area away from China. In addition, they are smoked on oak chips and shipped in Turkish olive oil. One can has only 10% sat fat and 5% sodium. And a decent amount of protein at 11 gms. Only negative is the cholesterol, as with most shellfish, is a bit high at 19%. As for Omega 3 fatty acids, the daily recommendation against heart disease, cancer, depression, etc. is 600-1000 mg/day. One can of these oysters provide around 1300 mg. For smoked oysters these taste delicious. So plump and fresh I can detect the brine in them. And the Turkish olive oil is very light, since I add a few drops of soy sauce to it and eat the oysters out of the can. I really like the box the cans come in as it's sturdy and I can reuse it for storing my long tools.

Here, let me tell you the truth
I rarely write reviews, but after reading a few here, someone has to write something helpful or at least more accurate. Let's take apart some of the accusations: Price: Price has nearly doubled, but is now inline with what grocery store prices were 5 years ago. Or about 2.75 a box. Grocery store prices are what drove me to amazon to buy in bulk. No longer a discount, but I bet my local grocery store is 4-5 bucks a can given our current inflation problems. It is what it is, and none of us can fix this. Nutrition: Yes there is cholesterol - ALL animal products have it. But according to the last 20 years of research and discovery, dietary cholesterol HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR BLOOD cholesterol. Good lord, the dairy some of you put in your coffee has more than this. The most nutritious foods have cholesterol. It's so important for your body that your body makes its own. Statins work by negating the enzyme that triggers cholesterol production. You can eat 20 eggs a day (1 egg has 10x the cholesterol of one of these cans) and your blood cholesterol will not be impacted (actually, evidence and trials seem to state that your blood cholesterol would only improve as you wouldn't have an appetite for garbage). Also, oysters are highly nutritious. 200% of your recommended zinc and copper, loaded with vitamin b12, selenium and iron, it's hard to find any food that exists that is as densely packed in micronutrients that the vast majority of American's don't get enough of, than a simple can of smoked oysters. Complaining about cholesterol in an oyster is like complaining about the humidity in Hawaii. Or dumber. Taste: These are smoked oysters. Guess what? You don't take the best oysters and can them. You don't take great oysters and smoke them either. You can find better oysters elsewhere? Of course, fresh is best. Everyone says "better oysters over here" but no one mentions if it is canned. Or jarred. Or smoked... or most mysteriously if it is packed in seed oil. The vast majority of canned fish is packed in toxic seed oils. I'm well aware that seed oils are the official answer to heart disease according to boomer sources circa 1970, but seed oils are new to humanity, and most importantly are dirt cheap to process from lovely things like "rape seed" (which is where your canola oil comes from, which, by the way, was initially used to lubricate factory machinery a century ago. You can tell if you heat canola oil up to 400 degrees for frying, it smells like machinery and nothing like food). Smoked oysters in olive oil are special. Last forever, always healthy, relatively cheap (even today). Get a can. Get some crackers, I like plain 'ole saltines. Put cream cheese on the cracker. Put 2 oysters on top. Douse with hot sauce of your choice. Enjoy. Or, get a baguette. Get some gouda cheese. Maybe avocado. Tear off some bread, add a slice of cheese, put your oyster on top. Nice trail snack. Romance: Oysters are good for men in many ways we can skip here. But.. your breath is gonna stink to high heaven. Save these for the day BEFORE date night.

Expensive but Delicious.
Absolutely delicious. Excellent texture wonderful taste. And you’ll pay for it monetarily. Nice big oysters, about the size of my thumb. Pricey but absolutely delicious!

I wanted to hate these!
I really wanted to hate these! Smoked oysters have been a favorite food of mine going back over 4 decades, even if the overall quality has declined over the years. A few years ago, I ate what I suspect were some tainted oysters from Crown Prince's "standard" red box offering, and I got violently, VIOLENTLY ill for 3 days. After that experience, it took me 3 years to finally have enough courage to start trying smoked oysters again, but nothing packaged in China (never again!). I kept hearing how excellent this line from Crown Prince was, but in my mind I held them responsible for ruining oysters for me, so I tried nearly every other brand I could, and wasn't really happy with any of them. I finally ordered these, and... they are very good. Firm without being chewy, consistent size and texture, not mushy inside, no sand, and very good flavor. This is the only kind I'll buy now.

Nice Sized, Tasty Oysters. Not from China
Let's face it folks when you like oysters and you don't like serious internal illnesses, its best to have sea food that hopefully came from water safe to swim in. This brand has been making great oysters for a long time. The size is usually good, not too big, not too small. It's perfect for topping a Ritz cracker. If you don't normally do this.. you should; just enjoy life and have the cracker with it. Now I have nothing against the many many many (many?) wonderful people that life in China. But let's face it; the pollution is pretty bad there. And you'll notice it's difficult to find reasonably priced canned oysters that are from anywhere else AND have decent reviews. While South Korea isn't exactly far away from Chinese waters, there's at least one despotic degree of separation and that gives me at least a little solace that these oysters are safe to eat. I've been wanting to try the US ones and will do so soon but Crown has been a staple for a while and I love them.

My favorite smoked oysters.
Smoked oysters are amazingly high in nutrients, but watch out for brands with crappy ingredients. Crown Prince Natural Smoked Oysters is my favorite because they use olive oil instead of cottonseed oil, and only have two ingredients. I love these things, and order them by the case.

The Taste!
Finally received my Oysters! I admit I did try to Cancel my order after I had read so many scary reviews? But they wouldn't allow it and shipped anyway... Well, I'm not Mad at these! The Oysters are plump, good size, and nice color...the taste though, is clean and succulent...a more subtle smoke flavor than your Average run of the mill Oysters from, yes China... I don't eat them anymore for good reasons, but I was missing them as I Love Smoked Oysters, have all my life, because I grew up on them at every Event my Family had. So I decided to try them since they came anyway, and I am In Love!!! I will definitely order more! I have eaten 4 cans in two days since I got them🤣 and can see me polishing them off pretty quick🤭 a little Costly yes, worth it? Absolutely! Update: I just received my new box today! 02/05/2024

More of a Duke than a Crown Prince
I bought these with very high hopes as they are VERY EXPENSIVE, apparently being organic. Oysters are not visually beautiful things but this product looks somewhat off putting. Taste wise they are no where near as palatable as the run of the mill oysters available at Costco. I don’t know if these oysters contain less in the way of heavy metals or organic contaminants but I am not buying them again. In conclusion, poor value for your hard earned dollars.
