I bought the item a few weeks ago. It had clear damage from shipping problems. The box was stove in a bit and had a hole in it. The unit was in fairly good shape, but some bolts had gotten loose and fallen into the box. Clearly it had been abused a bit by the carrier. The one structural problem was that one of the plastic lids had cracked. I contacted VIVO through Amazon, and they responded immediately to send me a replacement part. I harvested my honey last week and it worked great.

I started with a manual spin extractor but my shoulders and arms could only work well for a short time. This electric powered motor will spin the basket that will hold 8 super frames in radial form-spin and it extracts from both sides at the same time, while the 4 deep, hive body frames sit so you have to spin the one side then you have to turn that hive body frame around to get the other side of the frame extracted. The motor has a dial to adjust the speed and a large emergency stop button. The top safety covers need to be in place before the basket will turn. I have used this extractor for many pounds of honey without any problems. So far, so good and this is a good price at the time I purchased my unit.

With hesitation I ordered an extractor online instead of purchasing in person at the local bee store. I had selected this extractor at a bit of a higher price because it said it would ship quicker...it didn't ship as quickly as stated but was only a few days delayed. Upon arrival it was indeed damaged. Honey extraction doesn't wait well and I was very disappaointed BUT working with the seller was very easy. They were quick to respond and quickly shipped out another extractor without the aggravation of having to return the damaged one. The second extractor arrived only missing one bolt that we were able to use from the damaged shipment. All in all, it worked out because the seller was very responsive and reasonable to work with. Much appreciated. This extractor works well for our small (about six hive) honey hobby.

After reviewing many different extractors, I decided on the Vivo BEE-4000E. I am a small hobbyist with 9 hives, but I wanted an electric extractor without spending a fortune. The reviews on this Vivo model were good and I decided to give it a chance. I’ve only used it once but am very pleased with the performance.The extractor arrived last week. It was well packed, had no damage at all and all the parts were there. Assembly was a breeze taking 15-20 minutes. All you need to do is bolt on the legs and plexiglass tops. The extractor is well built, good quality material and quite sturdy. The basket is heavy and designed well and holds the frames perfectly in place during extraction. The motor is quiet and smooth. The rheostat control smoothly adjusts speeds. There is a small ball bearing that the basket rests on. When cleaning the tank you have to be careful not to lose the bearing as it will fall out of place if you tip the unit over.After assembly and washing out the tank, I harvested 4 medium frames so I could test it out. It worked perfectly. It is easy to load and unload frames. The basket spun smoothly and was well balanced. I had the extractor sitting on the garage floor without bolting it down to anything and there was virtually no vibration and the extractor didn’t tend to “walk” while spinning. A 5-gallon bucket and strainer fits easily under the honey gate, but there isn’t much room left to tip the drum over to drain the last of the honey. You may want to find a way to elevate it a little more to make tipping the tank easier. Cleanup was quick and easy (just don’t forget about the ball bearing).All in all, I am very happy with this extractor and feel it is well worth the investment. Hopefully I’ll continue to feel this way after several more uses next spring.

It was easy to assemble, easy to use. Takes a little getting organized to use it, but then you’re on you way.

I have a good number of hives but don't keep bees full time and couldn't justify purchasing a $1200+ unit for my operation. I decided to give this a go since the price was right and it has the motor. I'd been hand cranking for the last few years and that's absolutely miserable!No, there are no instructions but it wasn't an issue to figure out how to put it together. Once cleaned out and I had frames uncapped the device was quiet and smooth. I started with 4 mediums radially and then after 20-30 minutes I'd add 4 full ones, so 8 frames in the extractor but only 4 full at a time. I'd then pull the first 4 and replace those will full honey frames. I'm sure it could handle 8 full frames but this worked fine for me.For those complaining about it shaking, you do need to mount it to a pallet or directly to your floor. It's also incredibly important to balance your frames. All of mine were completely full and uncapped with a hot knife so they were all level and evenly weighted. With a little care I had no issues with shaking at all.It did arrive with a broken top plexi shield, likely fault to the shipper. I emailed Vivo and they had one to me in just a few days! Great customer service and a great product for the price.

I had been borrowing a hand crank extractor that only held 4 frames. It did the job but had some issues with cleaning (sharp edges) and needed to run each set of frames twice (tangential extraction). This extractor has greatly improved the extraction process. It hold 8 frames for radial extraction to get all the honey in one run. The assembly was easy and it is also easy to clean - no sharp edges. The motor drive and speed control works very well and is the best feature for maximizing the honey extraction yields. It was fairly easy to extract 30 frames in just a couple of hours and that honey paid for the extractor right there. Easy to recommend.

This honey extractor is everything I hoped for. Runs quiet. When bolted down it is stable. Has lid safety switches and an emergency stop button. I believe I will get many years of use with it. Thks vevor for your fast shipping and a product for a fair price.
