Top of the line coffee
The Costa Rican coffee is excellent. Full bodied and smooth. No strong after taste. I grind it up and run it through a Keurig.

Great Coasta Rican coffee at a reasonable price.
Tasted in Coast Rica on vacation. This is the same product we tasted there and loved it! Not overpowering or too strong, but not a "light" coffee either. We were at resort that was visited by Americans and they all commented this was good coffee each morning.

True Dark Roast Flavor at a Value Price.
I love a good dark roast coffee and many products promise dark roast flavor, but Cafe 1820 actually delivers it. I think many "dark roast" coffee products taste more like a medium roast for those with discerning tastes.I have also looked at the price of dark roast coffee at Costco or even Aldi. This product is a good value given inflation.

Excellent Dark Roast
I loved the flavor. Did not love the $30 price tag. I will make this a once a year treat not my daily coffee choice. I visited Costa Rica in 2012 and sent some to a good friend of mine and they loved it also. BTW, I just started drinking coffee regularly 2 years ago.

Unglaublich schlecht
Schon beim Auspacken und Öffnen der Packung, wurde man extrem enttäuscht. Es kam einem absolut kein schöner Geruch entgegen. Die Kaffebohnen waren sehr schwarz und teilweise zerbrochen und etwas ölig. Ich gab ihnen dennoch eine Chance und habe mir einen Kaffee auf gewohnte Weise zubereitet. Der Geschmack war aber leider so unterirdisch schlecht - da half nur Zucker und Milch. Damit war der Kaffee irgendwie trinkbar aber weit entfernt vom bekannten Genuß der selben Marke, die ich bereits in Costa Roca getrunken habe.Nach einer halben Tasse kam es zu Bauschmerzen und einem schnellen Toilettengang.Da ich nicht direkt den ganzen Kilo Kaffee wegschmeißen wollte, gab ich ihm noch 2 weitere Chancen. Mit dem selben Resultat.Wer ein teueres, scheußlich schmeckendes Abführmittel sucht, der ist hier richtig. Allen anderen würde ich vom Kauf abraten.Geschmacklich ist er am ehesten mit Kaffee der Marke Tipp zu vergleichen.
