Managing Your Anger Faces Emotions Motivational Poster Art Print 18 x 24 inches

This is a super simple poster that goes a long way in helping kids develop some insight into what drives the angry feelings. I use it with kids of all ages -- 5 -18. I don't totally love the style of cartooning done here, but the didactic value is very valuable. Pictures work much better than words at all ages for strong feelings like anger.

I use this with clients of all ages and found it very helpful in calming down a family, all of whom were yelling and pointing fingers at the same time. They weren't able to listen until I brought out the poster and we talked about what's behind anger. Then each was able to identify their underlying emotions and the others heard them.

Very helpful in youth discussion groups. It's so easy to be angry, but it is important to know what's beneath it so we can effectively resolve it. This poster helps!

I'm a therapist, and I use this poster with people of all ages. It does well providing a visual explanation of primary (underlying) emotions versus secondary emotions. It is also useful in helping children identify their body's physical reactions to emotions, making emotional intelligence and feeling identification easier. Adults I work with also like this chart, believe it or not, finding it user-friendly and it can help a discussion begin about their primary feelings. I use it all the time!

I bought this poster for my daughter, so she can use it to help my granddaughter define the source or type of anger she's feeling. My granddaughter is 11, has ADHD and depression and must go back and forth between my daughter's household, which she considers home, and her biological father's household, where she's teased by her older half sister and neglected by the father. She's begun to feel like she doesn't fit in anywhere, and she's getting very angry as a result.I haven't given the poster to my daughter, because we live six hours away, but we're going down for Christmas next week. I can give it to her then. I plan on taking my granddaughter aside and talking to her about the poster, because she and I are very close.

I love this poster. It was exactly what I expected. I teach 6th grade and last year there were so many angry students in my classes. I bought this to remind me that often they are not upset with me when they act out, they are upset with life. By the time students get to me in 6th period many have had a double block reading class, two math classes (one remedial) and history is just another reading class to them with all of the restraints that are put on how we teach. Maybe it is also to help me to not be upset by things beyond my control.
