Its made of muslin, a thick cotton.

Does it have a loop or a pocket to put a rod or pole through it for hanging?

I recieved mine, and it DOES have a loop for a pole, so they must have recently changed something. The crossbar slides right through.

Can I iron it? It is VERY wrinkly and still has fold-marks.

They are finished, not sure what the term for it would be... hemmed a good word? They do not look like scissor cuts, but stitched at the end.
