Hi-Fi meets D/C and it's love at first sound. It's rare to find low power in tandem with clarity in an amplifier.The punishment for purchasing entry grade equipment is often compromised, off-the-shelf components.This unit however, started life as a sound card chip that never managed universal adoption or notoriety and ended up seeing use by various manufacturers as a cost saving audio application. The PA200 is realistically 10 watts RMS/channel before it starts to lose headroom, but that translates into some serious volume levels with audible clarity and impeccable separation. If you are a connisuer and truly enjoy separating the musical nuances in a performance, then this chip's for you. Pye has made good effort packagng this Eco-amp friendly with hum/hiss-free stand-by and bass/treble controls which really come in handy for desktop applications.This is a super amp for a mere $30.00 folks! The benefits of running on 12 volts makes this unit so versatile in a host of environments. Low power consumtion, extremely small package, short output protected,light weight and minimal heat losses have filled a long overdue niche for a portable amplifier. It's so efficient it doesn't even need heat sinks but it delivers shimmering sibilance and amazingly controlled bass without wandering or runaway. The black extruded aluminum case should hold up well in mixed humidity use, where steel would make it look like your snowblower in a few years. A smart inclusion is a 1/4 standard mike jack on the rear and 2 RCA inputs and a 1/8 stereo on the front panel. Some users of these amps find there's not enough power or a lot of line noise but Pye has made their version with quality circuitry and connectors and mine is whisper quiet on Max connected to an iPad. The clarity of this amp easily reveals the lack of MP3's and AAC compared with CD.There are better sample rates amongst MP3's of course but any subtractive compression method in order to save storage, is dropping a lot of musical info. If I play the same music from the two different sources, the difference is dramatic. An iTunes download compared with a CD is far grainier and the bass smuggier, the composites of musical white noise is audibly truncated compared to the silky presentation from a CD. And once again, the level inputs are far higher and produce cleaner signal to noise levels at partial volume. Turntables can be notorious for rumble and hum but if your shielding is good,this amp will redefine all that old vinyl of yours, bringing out the best of analog sources. As an off-grid application this unit won't drain your deep cycle batteries for days...it's either Steppenwolf or eye-to-eye "really talking" on this two day, rained out trip. I have a Pioneer 7.1 system that would shut down the system by the time Frodo intercepts Gandalf on Bibo's birthday if hooked it to an inverter. 12 volt power packs come in a lot of different sizes to provide hours of decent amplification that you could strap to your body or facilitate a campfire group. The key is in it's flexibility and non fatiguing clarity. Nice job Pye, just don't get cheap on us "... That was Hammond's mistake".

The first time I bought an amp was back in the seventies. I shelled out a lot of money, because I wanted only the best. Over the years, I've spent thousands on new amps. In the last 15 years or so, I've looked around for a bargain on a good used amp. I bought lots of them, and they burned out fast because they were long past their warranty. This time, I thought I'd check out prices on new amps. I haven't bought a new one in a long time, just because there are so many cheap used ones out there. I figured the prices would be too high. But then I found one that is only a few inches all around, and doesn't have anything I don't need: remote control, an equalizer, a tuner, or jacks for a lot of components. In fact, I only needed one component jack this time. It works just great. I like the compact size. At $35, it costs a little more than a good used amp, but it will last a lot longer and it takes up a lot less space. I've just bought a second one.

Okay here's the thing: it clips out and drops the sound entirely when I turn it up past halfway. I can creep it up a little but when a bass beat hits, it just drops. Now this shouldn't be a problem on my little speakers, because at 40% volume, they sound pretty loud. I don't really need it to go that loud. But it also sort of annoys me that they didn't just take all the power this unit could take and spread it more evenly across the potentiometer. Not a big deal though. Great product. Lightweight, sounds great, gets out of the way. I replaced a large amp with it, because I only have one input and two speakers I need to get sound from. So it fits my needs perfectly. And the Pyle name is trusted. Good buy. I'm really happy with this. I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the clipping out part. I would rather have a hard envelope of how high I can turn it than having to mess with guessing if I got it right. Other than that, completely happy.

It functions exactly as described, and I am very happy with the product. My use case is for my PC, as I had speakers leftover from a surround sound project. It only has 2 channel hook-ups (Left and Right), but that's all I need; I'm not creating a surround sound system for my PC. It has more than enough power to drive small speakers and probably some bookshelf speakers, and it offers a clean sound. The device could use a hole to mount it, but nothing some double-sided mounting tape can't solve. Overall, the device works well without issue, is compact, and looks very professional under my desk.

I wasn't looking for much at this low price... I was surprised how good this little amp sounded. I had an ORB amp, and have never been happy with the tonal quality so I added an equalizer to baby the sound! I decided to purchase one of the small Pyle amps... and was happy with the sound and price (and also pulled out the equalizer)!! I am a retired radio Chief Engineer and I was very pleased with the audio quality. Of course, I am using this in our family room with two 8" in wall speakers... Very happy! Good volume and tone!

I just recently bought this as a small desktop amplifier for 2 bookshelf speakers that are decent speakers and not that hard to drive. Even 10 wpc would work in my setup. At low volume it's fine. Medium it's okay. Let's say a good song pops up on your playlist. You want to turn it up a little and step away from the desk and dance. It won't happen. It has power. It's just at the 50-100% end of the spectrum that it sounds terrible. Unplayable. I can tell you this. It's nowhere near 30wpc if that's what you're expecting. If you're lucky it's 15 and I think that's a stretch. It starts to break up which seems to be at different levels and at different times to me. I just know don't waste my time trying to blast a tune. It's loud enough right in front of me on bookshelf speakers but I can't fill this room well. Fair enough It's a 27 Dollar amp. I didn't expect it to blow me away. I think I did expect a solid 20 wpc. I don't think I have anything close to it so really it's a let down in a way. Yeah I know it's a cheap amp but still, I bought the hype. There is one more issue I'm having with it and it's totally unacceptable. It probably is more of a pain in the neck to go through the warranty (if there even is one) than I care to bother. So I'm just going to eat the 30 I spent and learn a lesson. I'm not buying anything from Pyle ever again and here is why. I turned it on only after about a week of owning it and one of the channels wasn't working. I shut it off, checked all the wires and it started to work with 2 channels. I figured That it must have been one of the wires somehow got tugged on. My wife cleaned my desk and I thought maybe she bumped something and maybe that was it. Next day I turn it on the same thing only this time it's the opposite channel. Now I know nothing moved but I still went ahead and checked all the connections. A few flicks of the switch and some inserting, reinserting and repeating the unit works with two channels again. Next day, again the channel that was out the previous day is out. I kill the source, turn the volume up and flick the switch to see if both speakers get a power surge when I turn on the unit. They didn't. Only the left. I turned off and on the unit one more time and I hear both speakers are getting power. I'm not a scientist but I'm pretty sure It's circuitry related. If I were a betting man, I'd be inclined to bet on that. So my advice is this, don't buy one of these. It's a cheap amp I thought I'd give a shot. It's bad. I'm just going to use it like this until the unit gets replaced by me with a better unit that I buy. I do regret buying this. Even as cheap as it was, it was not worth it. I'm stepping up a few levels. I always heard Pyle were cheap garbage but I never believed it. This was my first and probably my last experience with this company Pyle. Save your money and get something better.

I've had this unit for the past 4 months powering a pair of yamaha outdoor speakers on my porch during the summer, and now that it's colder, I power a similar pair of speakers indoors. I'm satisfied with the sound quality and the fact that it has the treble and bass controls which I wanted in a small amp. I wanted to give this unit 4 stars, but I have to agree with the negative reviews that comment about the poor quality of construction of these units. I used the amp for about 3 hours, over two days, and on the third day when I turned on the amp, one of the blue led lights went out. That light stayed out for weeks, flickered on a few times, then went out again. Last weekend, the rest of the led's went out! The amp still plays (thankfully) and every once in awhile there will be the flicker of a blue light on the right side of the volume control knob. If the construction/parts are that poor quality, then maybe just use a tiny LED next to the power switch that indicates the unit is on/off. While the LED's aren't that bright, it's annoying to see one of the LED's flicker on for a split second, then off again randomly through the evening.

Great little amplifier. I have it connected to a DAC with a PCM optical connection to a blu-ray player. Plenty of volume with quality sound.

Es excelente la verdad por el precio y por lo pequeño mis espectativas eran mucho menos y sorpresa que me lleve al conectarlo a mi laptop pues el sonido es genial no al nivel audiofilo pero si para un buen oído el bajo es profundo da mucho bajó por cierto con el botón bass sin embargó el sonido lo podemos equilibrar por medio del botón treible eso sí depende la fuente de música u el orígen de esta si es música de YouTube es digamos es un audio aceptable pero si el orígen es ,Spotify, Amazon música , radio online o música guardada en la compu se escuchará genial.

I purchased this to drive 4 speakers in my dual Arcade 1up RasberryPi. Sound quality was quite good as far as I was concerned - keep in mind most audio im playing is from classic (retro) games. The speakers attached were a cheap set from an old RCA surround system and a set that came stock on the Arcade 1up systems. Bass and treble levels are noticeable when adjusted so those work on the amp. Sound level can go very high even though the speakers are of low quality. I have really tested the mic or "mp3" inputs but the composite L/R work perfectly. Definitely a great little amp for your DIY projects.

Como era para alimentar unas bocinas para mi habitación, la potencia es excelente, a pesar de de que las bocinas pueden más alcancen un nivel de volumen y nitidez de sonido muy bueno. Lo unico malo son los leds del potenciometro de control de volumen, por lo cual bajo mi responsabilidad y riesgo, abrí el amplificador y retire los leds de la placa base y listo!

Great little receiver I used to power some outdoor speakers. Drilled holes in side wings to mount on wall. Works like a charm. Connected a Chromecast Audio DAC to it and stream to my back porch. Wish they would produce one with Chromecast/Spotify Connect built in.

La potencia me pareció excelente para su tamaño y precio. Sobre la fidelidad, hay quie decir que tiene controles de graves y agudos que no funcionan bien pues provocan distorsiones muy desagradables. Afortunadamente, ya que los fabricantes saben lo anterior, lo dotaron de un botón para eliminar esos controles y que la señal pase directamente. De ese modo la calidad del sonido es muy buena. SUGIERO ELIMINAR LOS CONTROLES QUE NO SIRVEN y de ese modo bajar aún más el precio, que ya es muy bueno
