Measure the distance from one post to the next post.2. Based upon those measurements, subtract 1-1.3 feet. For example, for a 12' by 12' measurement we suggest one 11' by 11' product.NOTE:1.Our sun shade sails have curves on each side to enhance pull strength and prevent drooping on the sides. Due to the curved sides on sun shade sails, the product may have 1-5 inches deviations on side length. For our hand-made products, deviations of 2 inches more or less is not uncommon. Massive join in material
UPDATE: Purchased a second as two other buyers said they did not have a join. Second product still had a join in the same place.Arrived with a join one third down the material. This destroys the aesthetic of having a sail when the light passes through it. Not mentioned in the product description or visible in any of the product photos. Very disappointing indeed.
