Update: I've tried using the CMOY as a preamplifier in my home Hi-Fi system and it scales very well with more expensive equipment.A true bargain in audio gear!Earlier:This headphone amp is not only neat looking; it sounds quite good - a noticeable improvement over the standardheadphone jack on my Android tablet. I'll be interested to see how it scales when used with a separate dacin my home Hi-Fi system. Works well, Sound quality is decent. Wish there was a power light on the outside of the case, it is located on the inside. The reason why is if you leave this product turned on it will drain the batteries regardless if there is any input.You can definitely tell when you batteries is getting low the sound quality plummets, it just sounds terrible at that point.4 Stars for the product doing what it was supposed to.

I highly suggest using a cmoy if you have headphones that have a high ohm rating, or if you are using a cell phone/mp3 player that just doesn't pump enough sound into your headphones.However, I for example have the V-MODA headphones which actually have a pretty low ohm rating so it doesn't require that much power to get them kicking. My ONE X with beats integration had more than enough juice to power them by itself, so the cmoy ended up being obsolete, but still a great product.Only thing I would suggest is mounting the led power indicator on the outside of the device so that it is clear when it is powered on.

The sound quality depends on the headphones. As an amplifier, it does what it is suppose to do. Kinda cute too as an Altoids Box of breath mints.

Bought this unit to improve my on-the-go headphone experience. Will comment back once I've had time to experience the battery life. I haven't turned it off since I plugged it in, it's everything I needed it to be with nothing extra to help fatten the price tag.

A sweet little amp for your 3.5mm head phones. Audio sounds clear and loud with its adjustable volume knob. I'm in love with it.Like what one reviewer wrote, I wouldn't try to bring this on a plane. It looks suspicious. You may get hassled about it. Otherwise, it's a good investment.

This is a great value in headphone amplification with little outlay. I use this in my backpack; on the way to work. It adds amazing stage and range to my iPhone music.
