still works great. The sound quality seems fine to me
I bought mine in 2011 and use it almost every day; still works great. The sound quality seems fine to me, but I'm not an audiophile and mostly play cd's of 1920s-1960s music. Looks cute too. The radio dial lights up when it's on, like origianl old time radio dials do. 7/16/19: The pop-out cd tray wouldn't open. I thought it must have broken. Forced it open with a butter knife (I didn't unplug it first, but if you're trying this at home, you probably should) and found the cd had slipped, causing the tray to jam. No issues with the tray opening and closing now. Also noting this model (from 2011 or earlier) doesn't have plugs for bluetooth/mp3 or anything like that- just am/fm radio and cd player.

A Classy Classic!
I love this "Cathedral"-style Crosley AM/FM Radio/CD Player. The paprika color is so rich and warm, beautifully finished, and complements just about any other shade of wood finish. My style is eclectic, but leans to the Victorian and oriental with medium and dark cherry, mahogany, black lacquer, and jewel-tone fabrics, so the finish and style of this Crosley piece fit right in. The sound is great -- maybe not like a $3,000 sound system, but it does justice to my classical radio station and CDs. The antique-style, bronze-colored hardware is gorgeous and really completes the look. Everyone who sees it wants to know where I found it, especially when I tell them how reasonably priced it is (they all should know by now that I find my "deals" on Amazon). It arrived ahead of schedule and in excellent condition (good packing), and I highly recommend this product and vendor.

Firts class hoax.
Send it back once, Costed 35 euro to send back, got a new one that still doesn't work properly. Radio is OK but CD player does not work in both cases. Looks great but is a hoax.

Ok Bought it totally for looks
I bought this because I want my music system to have a certain look. I got what I paid for. It’s OK. Sound quality average. It really needs some kind a speaker system. Hard to read the lettering which is the same color as the metal background. One thing I hate is it that it doesn’t display stations clearly instead using the round dia so you have to fiddle around until you find what you want. That’s what I get for being so shallow. Hopefully some radio CD Manufacturer will realize there are people who still want vintage looks with quality sound and not just a plastic box

If you're looking for form over function . . .
I've been using this radio for several months (and other Crosley products for years). I've never experienced any malfunction with any of the items--but they're all a little cumbersome to use, and sound quality (for the money) is nothing terrific. Our home is an antique-ridden Victorian, and this CD/radio was purchased to sit on top of an 1870's chest. I knew what to expect--i.e., paying a premium for looks--but I'm thrilled with the radio. However: (1) The controls (8 buttons, a switch, and 2 knobs) are difficult to use because the labels are hard-to-see tiny, raised letters in the same tone as the rest of the metal plate. (I need to have a very bright light and squint to see which button to push on the CD player . . . and the radio-tuning knob is smaller than usual.) Because of the hassle, I end up playing CDs less than I'd like, and rarely change the radio station. (2) While this unit sounds a little warmer than the $20 silver-plastic CD player it replaces, the sound is merely "adequate," and would disappoint the audiophile (especially for the pricetag). I don't know of any other company that makes retro CD player/radios. This one works, and looks great in the room. I'm happy.

Worth the money
I read lots of reviews on several sites before I decided to purchase this radio/CD. Some reviews were very good, some were very bad. I have had my radio/CD now for a couple of months, and I am extremely happy with it. The radio doesn't bring in stations from thousands of miles away, but it brings in plenty of stations. One of my concerns was that the speakers are on the sides rather than the front. I find that is not a problem; my radio/CD player is on a table in my living room and the sound comes out loud and clear. I couldn't have asked for more without going to a high-end, expensive product. Also, the price through Amazon was better than most sites, not only because of the base price, but because of hidden shipping and handling fees from some sites -- one website wanted almost 30 percent. Can you tell I'm a fan of Amazon?

Returned the first one
I only gave it three stars because I had to return the first one due to a defective CD player. It was a Mother's Day gift for my wife, so we were extremely disappointed when the CD player didn't work. Amazon sent me a new one within days and the new one works fine. It looks nice and sounds good. I just hope it lasts. I'm always leery of a company that makes products, especially electronics, that I have to return.

Wonderful piece for a retro look
Wonderful piece for a retro look. I was not particularly interested in the radio--mainly wanted something that plays CD's and has "Character"...This is it. It does the job and I have no complaints. While some have complained the buttons are difficult to read, I have had no issue. It may not be "high tech" enough for some. If this is the case for you, invest thousands for a "surround sound." I, however, am "old school" and this works great for me. Arrived quickly and set-up basically involved simply plugging it in. No issues at a great price.

Worth every penny!!
The first one I had to send back because the CD drawer did not function properly but the radio was so beautiful and sound was everything I can ask for, for my bedroom, that it was worth the wait. So I send it back and got another one that works perfectly and I enjoy every minute of it. I can look at it just to enjoy the beautiful wood and the exquisite color. I strongly recommend it.

Cute radio
Our Red Hat group is having a 50's/60's convention so I thought it would be fun to have a retro radio to auction off. So I ordered this one and am not disappointed. It is a nice size, not to large. Will fit nicely on a side table or anywhere..

Crosley cd/ radio
I quite pleased with my purchase and the quality of the item. The cds play well with good volume for the size of the unit. The radio has not got quite the same quality of sound, but is good enough and a lot better than the other radios I have. My main problem with the unit is that the front display panel is very difficult to read as the lettering is small and the same color as the display panel. Over all I am happy with it.

Beau radio, mais bon?
J'adore le style, mais le lecteur CD est défectueux, il ne fonctionne pas du tout...
