This has that iconic Moonster feel of quality. The leather smells amazing, feels lovely and smooth. The embossing of the Tree on the cover is very clear. The pages are proper old style paper.. Almost don’t want to give it as the gift it was bought for (but of course will!)Have paired it with some equally nice art pencils.My only teeny annoyance is I thought I’d ordered the 8x6 (when in fact was the 7x5) but that’s an error on my part.This would make a wonderful gift for boy or girl, young or old equally.Definitely a gift I’d be happy to receive.Easy 5* for this journal/sketchbook.

Seriously nice bit of kit, both the leather and the all cotton paper are superb. The leather is soft and tactile it feels so nice it’s difficult to put it down! The all cotton paper looks handmade and initially I felt a little disappointed with it as it is very “toothy” and gives a good deal of feedback when using with fountain pens of all nib types I’ve tried. After I got more used to it, I realised that this was actually a bonus. There is no feathering or bleed through at all, and both sides can be used without reservation. Although I haven’t tried it yet I suspect that this paper will also take light watercolour washes, which would be very useful. My usual go to paper for fountain pen writing is the very excellent Clairefontaine Triomphe which is very smooth and many consider to be gold standard for this purpose. This Moonster paper has changed my opinion on this and I’m now thinking that the Clairefontaine product is actually too smooth and presenting little or no feedback from the pen nib. This whole package from Moonster has hugely exceeded my expectations and represents terrific value for money.

I have bought two books from this company in two days. I just love them.The leather is really soft you can feel it under the fingers.It’s just lovely the smell, I love the smell of leather. It’s all there absolutely beautiful you can’t beat it. One of them. I’m definitely gonna use for day-to-day journalism.. and the other who knows let’s wait and see. But definitely worth the money.

This was a gift for someone to make daily notes from her Bible Study. She loves it and used it immediately for her personal thoughts and reflections.It is a very attractive journal both inside and outside. She likes the tree of life design. She appreciates both the quality of the cover and of the pages.The journal is strong enough for daily use and also very pleasant to write in

Lovely item. Will be keeping it. However it is not refillable as described at the top. Buried in the depths of the blurb it says it isn’t. It is slightly smaller than A5. It doesn’t say it is A5. I had hoped I could make it refillable with a 6 ring mechanism. There is one without a tree that is A5 barely. The tree relives the dark brown. Lovely feel, lovely leather smell a joy to use but sad not refillable.

Received my journal a couple of days ago, and wow. It’s exactly what I was hoping for (and more). I searched through so many leather bound journals before choosing this one, and I’m so glad I did. The leather is super soft, great quality, and so tactile. It has a subtle smell of leather, and the tree of life is stunning. The binding is amazing and the spine has a beautiful detail to it too. What’s even better is the paper is amazing quality too, with pages upon pages of it inside. This product is 100% made to last, and even sent with its own dust bag which I will use if I’m putting it in my bag.This may be my first Moonster purchase, but definitely not my last. Thanks guys!!!
