In recent years, I have read many quality books. Spirit Wars by Kris Vallotton would rate among the top of the list. Kris is an author whose works are easy to read, simple to grasp and digest, and to put into everyday practice. Given the nature of the topics within Spirit Wars, this is a huge asset. After watching this short promo clip - [...] - I just knew I needed to immediately grab hold of a copy of this book. I thought I needed it in a hurry, so I even downloaded the e-book version I found. I thought I was buying this book to help someone I love dearly to get through and to the other side of the nightmare she'd been walking out for about a year and a half. I was only partially right. Actually, I found much of my own story within the pages of this book. Kris puts in black and white, the everyday struggle we all go through with things unseen, but are ever so very real. This is one of the most effective books I've read on spiritual warfare. In the promo, Kris states the desire to put tools in your hands to win this war waging around us daily. He has accomplished this goal and then some. I would highly recommend Spirit Wars, not only to those are suffering in the same manner as Kris went through. I would insistently suggest this offering to all who teach, counsel, pastor, even parent and intercessors as well. Anyone who desires to understand the unseen spiritual realms will find useful information here. In this day and age, where the stresses of life mercilessly take as many prisoners as possible, of all ages and walks, this is a book for such a time as this. It's time stand back up and fight the good fight of faith with a few more arrows in our quiver! Thanks Kris, for sharing your life, your journey, your struggles and your hard won victories that will help equip many for the battle. I'm sure this is a book that I'll be reading and referring to often! I may even have to get the printed version! Be encouraged, read SPIRIT WARS!

I have not read any books by Kris Vallotton before, but when I heard about this book I knew I had to buy it. Some books are deep and take many read-throughs to get the message, this one is not. That's not to say it light reading, it isn't that either. What it is is a book that is relatable. Kris Vallotton gets his message across in a way that is understandable and immediately applicable. I have yet to finish the book, but while reading I continually find myself reaching for a highlighter (that isn't there!) to mark various phrases and sentences. Yes, there has been a time when I raise my eyebrow and found myself in disagreement with something, but then I reflect on it and see where he is coming from. To reject an entire book because of one or two areas you disagree with is a mistake, in my opinion, because I believe this book is a must have for any home that follows God. If you are a Christian who knows little about the spiritual realm (i.e., demonic presence) please read this book with an open mind. Don't disregard it as nonsense just because the message is foreign to you. We all hear about the missionary stories with witch doctors in other countries and think it only happens there. That could not be further from the truth, as you will read in this book. There is a lot I would like to say, but don't want to on a public forum. All I will say is, thank you Kris Vallotton for sharing your story and putting it in a book for others to share in your victory. We rejoice in your victory and rejoice that we are victors as well.

I really appreciated this book. It challenged me in ways that I did not expect from a book on spiritual warfare. I originally wasn't going to order this book because I have read a number of books on spiritual warfare and thought, "why should I pay to read basically the same stuff I have read before". What changed my mind was reading the introduction to the book and a few other parts that you can read here on Amazon (thanks Kris for allowing us to read significant portions of your book before we buy it). This book is different than any spiritual warfare book I have read. I especially liked chapter 2, Are You Living in a Haunted House? In that chapter Kris talks about some very important theological stuff but makes it very down to earth. That chapter has challenged me to rethink many of my beliefs about what actually happens at salvation. It is changing how I view myself and sin and has helped me to see some of the lies that I have believed. Kris has a way of handling deep theological truths in simple way. He shares a lot from his own life and experience and opens up about some of the darkest times. I appreciate that vulnerability. This book is definitely worth taking a look at. I would also recommend, The Supernatural Ways of Royalty, and Heavy Rain. Just make sure you have a supply of highlighters. A note to Kris: Thanks for making so many of your messages (podcasts) available for free on your website. You continue to challenge me to "think" outside the box. I love your qwirky sense of humor and your down to earth style. God has and is continuing to use you to change my life. Thank You! Karl Martin

I have been involved with charismatic and evangelical Christianity my entire life, I've probably read every book on spiritual warfare written from Jesse Penn Lewis to Pigs in the Parlor and everything in between, and this book is by far the most practical and transparent message of deliverance and victory I have ever read. Kris's approach and humorous writing style along with practical and in depth examples makes this a must read for anyone who is pastoring or needs a clear view of the battle we face as believers. As with any controversial topic there are plenty of areas where someone could misconstrue the message but as the bible will tell us to the pure all things are pure and to the wicked all things are wicked...if you read this book with the intention of finding disagreement why read it at all? But if like me, you are hungry for a clear and concise sound of victory that includes the entire realm of our humanity, from sleep habits to generational curses, then this book is well worth the entrance price. I found the chapters on practical wisdom regarding our bodies and emotions one of the most refreshing approaches to wholeness I have read in a long time. Many of the emotions and events that Kris shared I can point to exact duplicates in my own experience and I am so glad someone finally had the courage to produce a book with such transparency and hope at the same time. I cannot recommend this book high enough, even if you have never experienced the emotional or spiritual battle that he describes, you will still benefit from an understanding of warfare and life that ends with a beautiful message of Gods love. Thanks Kris, this is by far the best book you have ever written.

I believe I would want to see this from other people so I might as well give what I would want to receive. This book is super enlightening and helpful for growing spiritually ! Learned a lot and ready to apply the newfound knowledge. 🕊️ 🤍

This book is a must read for all believers. It is a subject that affects the outcome of our life and the lives of our family and the lives we touch on a daily basis. Unfortunately I completely understand the battle against fear and also probably have a Phd on this subject also. I had experienced fear for most of my life but in 1997 after a trip to the Brownsville revival and a complete overhaul from some time spent with the Lord I was completely delivered from fear in all walks of my life. I had been completely delivered from fear and didn't even know what deliverance was at that point in my life. But you know when you have been set free when you have walked the majoriy of your life in captivity. But unfortunately the statement in the book "Getting set free and staying free are two different things" is absolutely true. I walked in complete freedom for approximtely 12-13 years and then in an instant fear re-entered my life because of my wrong reaction in a siutation. I allowed fear to come back in my life by believing the lie of the enemy. I know in my heart that I have been given everything I need to win this battle, but was not experiencing that reality in my life. This book has been a life saver for me. To see someone, who is a powerful man of God and walking in a powerful anointing in his life also experence this manifestation and share his struggles on this subject has encouraged me that I too, can again walk in complete freedom from this lie and live my life in the fullness of my destiny. We are now using this book as our Sunday School lesson in my Sunday School class and it is amazing how many forms fear takes in Christian's lives. Thank you for sharing your struggle and the blood of the lamb and the words of your testimony Kris Vallotton have encouraged me on my walk and many Christians on their walk. Thank you! I love that Kris dares to be vulnerable so that we can understand what set free means. The real life examples I was able to share with my 10 year old son. Days later he was able to tell a demon that had caused him fear since a baby to get out Of the room and it finally did. He and I finally understood some nuances that made a difference in us understanding our authority.

I loved the insight about the spiritual realm and the practical ways the author is sharing about how to deal with different spiritual realities in our lives.

Honestly this is the best book i've read all year, maybe longer. I finally finished reading this book on holiday. I started reading this book a year ago, and read the first four chapters. Everyday since i carry this book in bag, in the hope i'd find time, or get a chance to read it, but i never got round to it. I'd been struggling with grief the last year, and had a difficult time, but everyday, i'd stick this book in my bag, and never open it. I finally opened it on holiday, and finished reading the whole thing in 2 days, including re-reading the first four chapters. I had a breakthrough i've been waiting a long time for, and i just felt like myself again. It was like hearing a message and you feel like you're the only person in the room, and everything the speaker says is just for you. I can't recommend this book highly enough. Kris displays his usual wit and prophetic insight, but what really impacted me most was hearing his stories, his difficult experiences and his childhood, and how they all tied in to him understanding God's love in an experiential way for him. In a nut shell, what impacted me most was where he writes that all demonic influence/activity and attack happens where there is a void from God's love (that's my paraphrase). I think this is one of those books i'll use more like a manual, and be revisiting quite a bit. I underlined something on almost every page. The last chapter was worth the price of the book alone for me personally. It may not impact you as much as it has me, but i still recommend it. It's a very insightful book into handling and recognising spiritual attacks, and getting close to God in dark seasons of the soul, and also very practical in places when helping others in those places, which is rare in a book when dealing with this subject. It's one of the best books i've read on this subject. I love Kris and really value what he does and brings to the table, and can't recommend him, or this book to you enough. I hope you find this book as special to your life and refreshing to your soul as i have.
