Very useful,,,but it takes a while to fit the metal one if you don't have a ready hole drilled and shaped If. you already have a hole ,,,you can use the plastic one supplied. Easy to install

it was supplied with a steel option it was fitted to a BMC racer lawnmower in place of a useless plastic adaptor which could not fit a standard hose end. the existing hole had to be enlarged but now works well

Fitted perfectly in holes on ride on mower

Bought this for my Troy Bilt mower since the model I got didn't include it from the factory. The package came with two male ends with instructions on which one to use for specific models of mower decks. Installation was easy taking only a few minutes to install. Does it clean the underside of the deck? You bet - in a big way. The underside of the deck is consistently clean, especially when used after each mowing. Only takes a short time with the hose hooked up to it and you're good and clean. Well worth the cost.

I installed the metal version of the squirter (it comes with two versions plastic and metal). Hook it up to your garden hose before you install it and observe the spray pattern. This will help you visualize how it should be installed on the deck. The rotation/orientation is super important. I installed mine so one side shoots across all three blades of the JD L120 deck, and the other side sprays into the blade right beside it. I measured the smallest circle of the fitting with calipers and used a step drill to make a hole that big. Then I hand filed the rest of the 2-3mm away, test fitting as I went. You dont want to make a round hole that will allow the fitting to rotate. We hook up the hose and run hot water for 3 mins with the PTO engaged and grass pours out the bottom. We mow 3.5 acres so sometimes if we see the deck is leaving stripes of tall grass we take a minute to wash out the deck and resume cutting. Works every time. Before we park the tractor we wash it again to make sure the grass clumps dont dry into place. If this happens, you can still wash them out, it just takes longer, like 5-6 minutes. Spray comes right out the chute on the side opposite the water fitting so I know its reaching everywhere. This was a great upgrade for a 20 year old tractor.
