Need this book for school, it dose have a lot of great material to study from if you are preparing to take the test to get the certificate.

This guide was extremely useful for taking the CSWP. It has loads of practice problems and great tips and examples. Totally worth buying!

Many of the exercises are assessed by measuring the Center of Mass for the part just created. Despite following the directions to the letter, I get a significantly different result that what is given in the text for about a third of the exercises. I think my basic SOLIDWORKS skills are pretty good, but I can't figure out why I get different results. It may be software differences, errors in the text or my own errors. I don't know.This highlights a complaint I have with other SDC manuals for other CAD programs and proficiency levels. They are good at teaching procedures, but they aren't that great on teaching concepts. That has come with practice and classroom instruction. I'm not sure how those things can be taught in a text, but I have often felt in the dark as I work my way through a book.
