Nice Item--Be Sure to Review Shipping Charges
Nicely made bags. I bought a couple bags of aquarium gravel and dropped one in each side. Perfect weight for my video tripod. Note: These bags are empty. But when I saw the hefty shipping charge of $26.28 I assumed they came loaded and attempted to cancel the order. Amazon said they already shipped, which I suppose was possible though unlikely that soon after I ordered. The Amazon rep said just refuse shipment when it arrives. As the arrival date approached I checked UPS tracking and just happened to notice the package weight was.....wait for it....one pound!! I called Amazon again and a lovely (based on her voice and demeanor) young lady took care of it all in a flash and refunded the shipping so that I could accept the package. As of this writing, the description still says "Shipping Weight 21 lbs." Bottom line--if you buy one or more of these bags be sure to check the shipping charged carefully. Each bag weighs less than a pound.

Works well so far
These sandbags seem to be adequate for the task at hand. The zippers probably aren't the highest quality, but I won't be opening and closing them to the point that it becomes a factor. There was some colored stray writing on one of them, so QC is a bit shaky. For the price though, it's not a big deal.

Gets the job done
One of the zippers on this fell off right away. Not that I cared because it has two zippers on each side, but the quality isn't the greatest. It does leak sand if it is flipped on it's end. I plan on filling it with sand stored in ziplocked bags. I also might try throwing a couple free weight plates inside to avoid the spillage.

Super durable and versatile
I've got a bunch of lighting gear, some of which extends on a boom. I was having issues with keeping things safe and balanced, so I went searching around. The price, size, and weight capacity as well as the construction of these was enough for me to invest in a few of them. I know you can use sand, but I had some weights from weight training laying about and used them instead. I slipped a couple of 10 pound weights in the bag, one on each side, then placed the bag over one of the feet of a stand. Problem solved! The stand is rock solid, and I can shove fairly hard against it and it stays in place. No way in the world it would have remained standing if I hadn't had the weighted sandbags on it.As far as construction goes, they are very durable. There are two rows of zippers per side, which ensures whatever material you choose to use for weight won't slip out, even if you do use loose sand. Personally I'd steer clear of sand and pick up some cheap weights, but that's just me, as I'm not a big fan of using messy sand. These may be durable, but if somehow they were cut open I'd much rather have a bit of weight peeking through instead of the saddle bag turning into a wanna-be hourglass.I highly recommend this product.

I bought 6 and 4 of them had holes after the first use, and one of them the handle ripped off after the first day.

Empty Bag
Maybe I didn't read carefully, but I expected this to come with sand. Now, I have to go out and buy my own sand. Like I said, maybe this is my mistake/oversight, but I still find it frustrating. Just be aware that what you're getting is an empty bag.

ePhoto ONE Photographic Sandbag, Saddle Bag Blk_SB
I took David Hobby's advice and bought two of these bags. They are very well made. I think they will last for many years. I liked his idea for using gravel as fill and bought a bag at the local "box" store. I don't think my lightweight stands will be moving much in the wind with these guys holding them down.

Decent sand bag
For the price, this is a decent saddle-bag weight. The material is nylon but appears and feels durable. I placed zip-loc plastic bags inside the compartments of the sand bag then filled those plastic bags with sand.
