Since I prefer simplicity and understated elegance, I worried this flatware might be gaudy. But I coupled it with a "rich" china pattern that has a very wide border with gold accents, it looks perfect. A less ornate flatware would have been inappropriate for the visual strength of the china. That said, if the china had been unadorned or lightly-adorned, this flatware would have been too flowery for my taste.FYI, I put the pieces in the dishwasher, but had to hand polish with a cloth to fully obliterate "water" stains. This was not difficult and the flatware once again looks pristine.Overall, I very much appreciate the coupling of stainless and golden tones, the weight, the quality, and the price.

Even prettier in person! Used daily and washed in dishwasher for 2 years so far and just as beautiful as day 1, comfortable in your hand, not too heavy except the knives, I would purchase again in a heartbeat but am sure I will have this gorgeous set for many more years to come.I definitely recommend, you will not be sorry, exceeded my expectations, you will love the quality as well as appearance! Definitely worth the price.

This is a great way to get beautiful bone china at a fraction of the price you would pay at Macy's. My china arrived in good condition except for the handle on one of the cups was broken. I simply went to my account at Amazon and filled in the form explaining the problem, and packed up the box and put it on my front stoop. UPS picked it up the next day, and a new set arrived within three days. The china is gorgeous, and I love the gold on the edges. It will be beautiful for holiday dinners, and special occasions.

After ading some of the reviews I was tempted not o purchase this product. I own a very extensive set of china on the Royal Albert Old Country Roses collection and I am putting together a set to actually use. I own a set of these flatware that I purchased at Macy's and when compared with this set I can honestly say I find no disparity in neither the look or weight of this product as stated in many of reviews. Got as Christmas present for my wife....she loves the Royal Albert Old Country Roses set I previously bought for her as a wedding anniversary present.....as usual, they arrived in great shape...expensive, but beautiful....my wife justly deserves them.....she's the best ever for me. Royal Albert china with roses are just beautiful....our guests love them at dinners we have for them......and thanks to Amazon for doing a great job in getting them out to us....I just LOVE Amazon!

This China is my favorite pattern. Small pieces were handed down from my dear mother. The great thing is that it’s now dishwasher safe. Use it frequently.

We liked the condition of the plate and we have not used it yet but it is ready for when the pandemic is done.
