There was a lot of dust/powder on the stones so as we were using it in a pond it had to be washed before use.

Not worth the money that they are asking for. When the item arrived I was extremely disappointed. Would not recommend this product at all, I would recommend going to your local garden centre where you pay a 3rd of the price.
