An absolute bargain - quality
Excellent quality duvet using the some of the best down available. Ok, so I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff, so hope you enjoy this.... The “fill power” of down is indicative of the “loft” of the insulation and it’s warmth to weight ratio. This duvet contains 800 fill power down, which rivals the down used in high-end mountaineering jackets and sleeping bags where insulation and weight can be very important. Whilst the weight of your duvet may not obviously be high in your list of priorities (!) it is worth paying attention to.... 800 fill power means that far less down is needed to achieve the same warmth rating as inferior down/feather products,,,,, Also, the construction method uses baffles to ensure that there is no risk of cold spots that you can get when a duvet is simply stitched through i.e the design is great too. All of this translates to a really comfortable light weight and more breathable duvet for you and I. There are no obvious prickles from feather shafts either (cheaper “down” fillings use more feathers, often thicker ones and the shafts can pierce the fabric of a duvet). I saw no evidence of this. If you check out similar goose down products at John Lewis etc they will cost 3 times the price so this duvet is a real bargain. The only difference I can see is in the thread count of the cotton used- it is a little lower than the top end £500 goose down duvets you can get elsewhere. I decided I could live with that ! (And I think high cotton thread counts = stiffer sheets?). Anyway, I expect this duvet will last years as the cotton used is still great quality and it’s really the quality of the down inside that matters most. My experience of synthetic duvets in the past has been that they are bulkier and tend to overheat (they don’t breath as well). NB if you are storing a down product treat it more gently than a synthetic and pack it away fairly loose otherwise you will crush the contents and damage them) Hopefully, all of the above makes common sense and if you’ve read this far you are probably are wearing leather shoe owning person who is more or less happy with using feathers from birds (which, like leather, are another by product of the meat industry.....according to veganpeace.com). This can be an emotive topic for some and could explain the odd low scoring review on here. Each to their own I guess. I’m off to sleep.

Soft and Pillow-y
When searching for the a feather duvet, there is a big difference between "down" and just normal filler feathers. "Down" is what you want for warmth, it is also a lot softer than normal feathers, that can poke you which is uncomfortable. This item has 80% down and 20% feather which is excellent content for the price. It is lovely and warm. This particular one, is made up of two duvets in one, the thinner one for summer use and the other for cooler time use and if things get quite cold (which can happen in winter in an old stone house), you use the snap buttons on the corners to attach both duvets. Of course this then seems quite bulky, but it is still very light and soft feeling. An amazing investment, well worth the money as the materials mean it works with your body heat, and not become stifling which can happen with the modern polyester filler duvets. A good regular morning "shake & leave" which allows the feathers to fluff up is all it needs for maintenance. You can also give it a good shake and sit in the sun on duvet cover change days - which helps.

Great Duvet, awful packaging.
The duvet is of amazing quality: lightweight but very warm (the summer duvet is perfect alone for a 19 degrees bedroom). Highly recommended. However, it comes in an open (sic!) plastic bag withing a flimsy box. Which means the duvet was accessible from outside of the box and therefore no idea what it could have been exposed to: Washing before the first use is a necessity.

O.M.G. Ultimate Sleep Covers
I took a punt spending on this as a Xmas pressie to myself. I understand "spend more = better quality" but after a point there are diminishing returns on your investment. This however was surprisingly good. I still can't figure out how the bed covers can make a difference to your sleep but I can't get out of the bed in the mornings with this cover because it's so so soooo cosy. It's not too heavy, not too light and wraps nicely around you. I would not buy anything less from now on. I bought the All Seasons version, it's a 4.5 tog and a 9 tog that you clip together. The clips should be better. I wish I had just got the 13 tog, cheaper and better for me.

Excellent product
The duvets are just what I wanted and at a competitive price. They were better than those on sale at a major department store at double the price. Very good value for great comfort.

missing pillows as advertised please contact me
missing 2 x pillows as advertised reordered replacement missing pillows also... finding it hard to get in contact with them to get pillows delivered and now have faff of returning duvet..... on plus side the duvet is awesome massively fluffy and breathable which means your warm but never sweaty and there is airflow. good product but I've been short changed at most and need a response Update shortly after managed to contact Amazon who were very good and offered me a discount as it was a mistake in advert and they were unable to get the pillows. Assume and is now updated... But if u do see one for pillows and duvet you may need to go through the motions of contacting them after ... Duvet is still great about a year on btw

Disappointing quality
To be honest, I’m quite appalled at the quality for the price. Right out the bag the stitching is loose around the outside and the feathers are coming out. Also, the feathers are sparse and clumped together. On the plus side it’s light and comfortable, but no more than a duvet a fraction of the cost. I can’t see this lasting anywhere near as long as my previous duvet. Save your ££ and look elsewhere!!
