Worried that I might tighten legs too much. Instructions should be more clear in this area.

I'm serious... I chuckled when I first saw the size of the box in which this lamp-table arrived, but I marveled as I unpacked it. Very little wasted spaces which were all taken up with styrofoam pieces. And every piece was in an appropriately sized plastic bag or sleeve to protect their finish.Assembly? Well, the instructions are a tad shy of detailed, but between the parts list and the drawings it's not hard to intuitively fill in the blanks. It would help if they plainly stated that the only tool needed for assembly is the Allen-wrench included with the hardware. Fretted over this momentarily before I dove in... but once in assembly went smoothly and quickly.The final product? I like it. It includes a phone "hot spot" for charging phones that can be inductively charged. I wasn't aware that this was a feature when I bought it. Every thing feels solid including, or most importantly the lamps swing-arm. The included LED bulb is bright, yet its light is soft.This looks to be as good of a good product as it was an easy project.Any downside(s)? Two.We think the included shade is kind of ugly, so left it unassembled (as such it will take up very little storage space) and reused an old shade.The marking on the table top showing where the phone hot spot is could be more subtle, e.g., smaller and/or less different in color from the table's rich, brown color.Hardly deal breakers or rating reducers to my mind.

Only defect was all four corner legs have groves cut out on each side so that they show no matter how you assemble - other than that it went together easily but be careful as it is easy to tweak to hard during assembly and bust posts

This is an outstanding, contemporary side table - plus a lot more! You like the look or not, but if it's for you, just shop around here for the best price, there are at least 3 listings varying 10 bucks. Please be aware you can charge at least 3 devices, if one is wireless capable, and you get a lamp that takes up zero counter space, plus 3 shelves/ surfaces! Very precisely and professionally made, handsome wood finish, everything fits together Perfectly, well packed with zero damage (and it's shipped in an outer A box). Good instructions (fill out the warranty for 5 years coverage, it does have electronic components.) I have only 2 aesthetic issues with the design. First is, the bottom shelf rests on the floor (as pictured), it needs some feet. So with the money i saved shopping around, I'm getting feet lol. The other is the lamp shade does not sit parallel to the floor (straight) and there is no easy way to correct that... With fixed, traditional lamp components it will take some heavy plier action below the harp to fix this. It's not way off, but it bugs me. Otoh, the lampshade is one of the coolest innovations I've seen in some time - I imagine this will be the wave of the future hah hah! Super pleased, got 3 birds with one stone!

Pretty easy to put together however plug underneath took too people to connect as well as putting together lamp shade. BUT, it is not dimmable, does not work a 3 way bulb.

Love the table lamp but the phone charger on the table is very weak, takes a really long time to charge (a phone).

Made to do more than one thing is HUGE.It took my breath away when I saw that it comes in other colors,. Whoever came up with this item is a genius. OMG! the price was so affordable. I did not think twice I had to have it. I bought the classic black. The color contrast fits into the furnishings and decor I have in my living room area. A huge compliment to the theme in my living room area.Very easy to assemble, very sturdy and well built. I have my tablet charging in the pictures, the charge is very fast. I love the fact I have light in my living room. It is the right amount of light I am very happy with this purchase and I highly recommend this item. One of my best purchases I made on Amazon in my 11 years. A definite conversation piece. Everyone that saw it in my living room wants to get one. I am more than happy to tell them all where I purchased it.
