Excellent Tomatoes!
I use these tomatoes when making my own home-made pizza sauce. San Marzano are supposed to be the ideal tomatoes for this application, and these don't fail to live up to the reputation. I like these much more than the whole canned tomatoes because there are no seeds in these (seeds make the sauce bitter).Add a bit of salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary, blend with an immersion blender, and you have enough pizza sauce for 4-5 14" pizzas. Highly recommend these tomatoes!

Best canned tomatoes I have ever tasted
I had heard on several cooking shows that the Sam Marzano tomatoes are supposed to taste SO much better than other canned tomatoes, but they don't carry them in my local grocery stores -- I decided, on a whim, to buy these from Amazon, because they did not cost any more than the ones in my store, and I was spared hauling them home. I tried them in a stuffed shall recipe, and there is simply no comparison in terms of Flavor -- these Carmelina San Marzano chopped tomatoes are simply FABULOUS! I have had people ask for recipes that I have served them before, but they are just so much better with these tomatoes that they can taste the difference, too! They are REALLY wonderful in recipes.....

As expected
Only one can was dented. Good tomatoes and I appreciate being able to get them (about a month ago) at a time when you couldn’t find canned products anywhere. Would buy again,

Best tomatoes I ever used. So flavorful and delicious. Great price . I will definitely order again. Had a dent in 3 cans that must have happened during shopping and they send me more immediately the next day. That is great customer Service.

Full Tomato Taste with almost Zero Salt!
Very very FRESH tomato taste. I first bought this because I'm cutting down on my salt intake, and assumed it would taste bland without it. WRONG! These tomatoes taste full and tomato-y right out of the can. Makes an excellent light basil-y type sauce, or with meat and cooked down, a nice heavy sauce. It is very hard to believe there's virtually NO SALT in this!

The secret ingredient to amazing sauces!
Okay, so maybe these aren't DOP San Marzanos, but for the price, they are AWESOME! Meaty, rich flavor, thick texture, and since there is no calcium chloride, they break down beautifully in a sauce. They are also salt-free, so you can control that too. I use these in sauces and soups, but they also make the best "Mexican restaurant" salsa - just puree a can with one clove of garlic, salt and fresh jalapeño to taste and a bit of cilantro if you like. Perfect!

Tomatoes without calcium chloride!
I purchased these tomatoes because I wanted to avoid certain additives that are now in every brand of tomatoes sold in our local groceries. However, I didn't realize there would be such a quality difference - not only did these tomatoes have an amazingly deep red color, but they cooked down into the most luscious thick sauce. I didn't even have to add tomato paste, which has been my normal practice for years when making Italian dishes. Mamma mia! I am hooked!
