I was originally attracted to this item for two reasons - the nice (personal opinion) appearance and the excellent cost saving compared to some other brands. These, and the fact it was advertised as a 500 shot battery life (still to be tested) were big plus's. My overall impression is it's a nice unit and great design and the 400w power should be more than sufficient for most. On the minus's I found the wireless a bit complicated to operate so ended up using a third-party sync system. The battery was also quite tight and needed a very small amount of (non oil based) lubrication to get it to slide. It's hard getting spare batteries as these are usually stopped by customs and finding a supplier for spare flash tubes is also hard. Purchasers are given a special VIP email address for queries and their answer came next day pointing me to a flash tube on Amazon - which is out of stock. I decided to buy a second unit as it gave me the spare tube, spare battery and spare body. Still good value.

I ordered 14th of Feb but only received item June 6 due to covid and delivered to the RAF UK base then forwarded to my operational site in the Falklands.Flash is great, works perfect, firmware was already the newest, 3.9, but Flash controller had not been updated, is still 1.8.Can't get the glue off the screen after pulling off the plastic covering the screen. The controller looks like it's been used before, is definitely not new.Being so far away with post taking a long time I GUjust have to put up with it.

This product is decent however when the trigger is attached the rear curtain mode isn't available on my camera.I've updated the firmware and it's still not working.. very disappointed

The battery is a little hard to remove. It was perfect with the optical slave function. I am generally satisfied.

Excellent quality and very powerful, my main concern was that the battery would not be good enough but so far its been doing a good job, very professional performance.

I really took time to read reviews and chose to buy this one. I took this for an important project and this let me down very badly. I use a Sony A7iii. When is started using this monolight with its supplied trigger only 30-40% of the time it would flash. I gave at least 5 to 10 seconds between each flash to make sure there is enough recycle time but still it was failing to flash. It was a huge an embarrassment for me and I don't know if I will get the customer back :(

Works flawlessly. Very happy with the strobe. Had to buy trigger for Nikon hot shot. Sold the sony trigger it came with.

Excellent light for the price, I used it a couple of times and its very powerful and the recycle time is great, solid build quality and good layout and aesthetics.
