I purchased this eye shield/mask 6 years ago. I haven't used it very often but rather just when I wanted to rest/sleep during the daylight hours. Lately I've been using it more than ever. I'm going to be having surgery in a few weeks, so I'm buying another set just in case I lose one while I'm rehabing. It has worked well for 6 years and I'd say that's a pretty good testimony to this eye shield mask. The quality of the materials and the design is great. It has an adjustable strap and there isn't any place that light leaks in underneath or at the sides of the nose or outer edges of the eyes.

Overall, this is a pretty good product in my opinion and is a good value for cost. The mask doesn't make me overly hot or sweaty. I like not being kept awake by nightlights and this definitely helps to reduce light into to my eyes. I received the product pretty quickly after ordering which was also great. Definitely worth a shot. Pros: Affordable. Comfortable. No side tighteners. Doesn't move around too much. Works well with sleeping on my side. Deep eye pockets. Fairly decent coverage in my experience. Cons: A little light still comes through around the nose and tops of my eyes. Though, at night, the light that creeps in isn't noticeable or distracting to me. Some shifting does occur as I lay on my side, again, not a huge issue. The Velcro sometimes gets stuck on my hair.

About four years ago, I bought an excellent sleep mask that was discontinued on Amazon. I looked high and low for a mask that worked as well and bought 4 different types, but could not find one that fit as nicely or felt as good. My last search involved scrutinizing the up-close images of dozens and dozens of masks. None of them matched the type that was discontinued. Then I saw this one... Looking closely, I could see that it was shaped exactly the same way. It had the same specific type of padding on the nose bridge, the same deep cups, and the same shape on the upper and outer edges. It was the only one that matched the discontinued mask. These also improve on those older ones by replacing the velcro with an adjustable clip. I'm completely satisfied with these masks. I suspect sleep masks are somewhat personal because everybody's face has a different shape, but this one totally blacks out the light for me. It is completely comfortable and fits lightly and easily.

I need it to be completely dark in my room to sleep, but my blinds broke years ago and can't be closed. Not that they blocked a lot of light from the street lamp outside. I had been buying a mask from Walgreens for years but they only last a few months before they start to fall apart. I use them until the layers are completely separated then get another one because they are over $10 each. As my last mask started to fall apart recently, I decided to see if I could find something similar online instead of going all the way over the Walgreens (the only place I've found this style of mask) to get one that will barely last 9-10 months. I looked at a lot with my requirements being it needed to have space around the eyes enough you could blink (I don't like when it's pressing against my eyes... gives me a headache) and had velcro on the strap to adjust it. After looking for a day or so, I settled on these because they looked very similar to the Walgreens ones but they were two for $7.99 instead of one for $10. These arrived a couple weeks ago and I was more than thrilled to find they are even better than the Walgreens ones. They feel like they are better put together, there's more room around the eyes and the elastic is more comfortable. They also fit snugger around my eyes and let in almost no light. And even if they do start to separate into their different layers, I only spent $4 on one of them so it's not the end of the world. 10/10 will buy again.

I have always had trouble sleeping in an environment with any light, even a night light, so I purchased this sleep mask to see if it might improve my sleep. This sleep mask is actually a set of two masks that come in a resealable plastic pouch for storage. Depending upon how you place your order, you will either receive two blue masks, two black masks, or one of each color. The mask itself is very lightweight and soft. It has a semi-rigid oval shape over the eyes which eliminates pressure against the eye while wearing it. Its elastic strap has a hook and loop closure on the end so the fit of the mask can be easily adjusted. After adjusting the mask to fit comfortably on my head I tried wearing it to bed both last night and again while taking a nap earlier today. Light is completely blocked by wearing the mask, which I really like. When lying on my back in bed, the mask is comfortable to wear and does not put any pressure against my eyes. I’m a side sleeper, though, and when I rolled onto my side the mask became quickly uncomfortable, putting pressure against the side of my nose and maxillary sinus area. Unlike a cloth mask, this mask retains its shape when pressed against a pillow, and the pillow then pushes it slightly sideways. As such I was unable to sleep comfortably. I really wanted to like this mask as its description seemed ideal. And it probably would be ideal for anyone to wear while sleeping upright (e.g. while traveling on an airplane) or on their back. But if you are a side sleeper like me, it may be too uncomfortable to wear. I try to write informative product reviews. I purchased these because I get migraines... it is really important to block the light. These are very comfortable - they completely block the light... the edges are soft the eye pockets are perfect... no pressing on your eyes or eye lash touching. The nose piece is molded and comfortable. The head wrap is adjustable with hook and loop strip with a wide range of tightness options. I prefer to have it pretty loose as tightness is problem during a headache. It stays in place - as I move very little during a headache. If you're sleeping in it - and roll away a fair bit, you may want to tighten it up. You receive two masks.. I received 1 black and 1 turquoise mask. The masks are a formed foam/foam like material and covered with the nylon like material. The bands with the adjustable hook and loop strip are elastic - and very stretchy. Both straps are black on both masks. I think they would be really great for travel and for people who work night shift and need to sleep in the day. I am personally impressed with the comfort and ease of use of these masks. However, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful - and I hope this was helpful to you!

This is the third set of these I've ordered and used over the last 10-15 years. Since they come in packs of two, I wear one and I give the other to my wife or daughter to use. I wear them till they're completely worn out! I wear them to sleep and I take them with me on airplanes. Don't bother with anything else, and especially don't bother with the ordinary flat cheap ones... these are super soft and comfortable, almost completely light-tight, the strap is adjustable and non-intrusive, the cupped shape of the mask means your eyelashes don't touch the insides, and you will be amazed at how much better you sleep and rest if light never contacts your eyes or even your eyelids. These are just the best.

This was purchased for the purpose of blocking out light for a person who was extremely light sensitive due to a medical condition. It completely blocked out the light…the straps were comfortable when lain on and the fact that they were cupped meant no pressure on the eyes. Very happy with this product and reasonably priced as they will last a long time.

Incredibly disappointed with this product. Got it a little over a month ago and through normal use the mask is literally peeling apart. I wouldn’t buy again or recommend
