Don't really work.
Installed these out of desperation after a crashed cycle. I'd been monitoring nitrite for a week prior. They made literally no difference even with 2 in the filter. Try something else

Nitrites gone!
I'm very pleased with Fluval products and the Nitrite filters are a very effective and affordable way to keep your fish healthy and happy.Remember to use their other filters in conjunction with this filter as well. Carbon filters, ceramic bio filters and polishing filters are all required for the Fluval canister filters.

Love Fluval and their products!
This, along with several of the other Fluval resin pad products, is a need for my aquarium! I have a Fluval FX4 for my goldfish tank, and these pads work perfectly to help decrease all the ammonia they excrete. Great product! Love how they come in packs of three. Will be buying often.
